9/30 to 10/6

On Monday, I went to an Lymphodema Clinic and learned many things.  First of all I was told that because I had 15 lymph nodes taken out that I was at a high risk of getting Lymphodima.that is when your arm swells up because the lymph glands aren't there to get rid of the fluid.  The therapist said she was surprised that I hadn't gotten it ye and I had no signs of it.   I attribute that to excising daily.  She also taught me some  exercises to do to increase my mobility in my arms.  Also, I learned that I need to massage my chest to keep it loose.  She also gave me exercises to do for my balance.  I do have problems with my balance.  My boobs did help keep me balanced.  I was so grateful that the oncology dietitian referred me to her.

On Wednesday, the activity day girls came over and we first learned about all the apostles and prophets and I gave them handouts to help them remember things about each of then.  It was great to have them all over.  We have quite a large group of girls but all are so cute.  They loved the fact that they could run outside and pick strawberries and raspberries. For some of them it was their first time.  It was quite and adventure for them.

The only other thing of significance I accomplished was that Willard and I went out and worked in the garden.  We had let the back portion of the garden in weeds. Since one of our Fur Tree died, we are going to have to cut it down.  We want to use the chips on the garden so we need to get it all cleaned off. We were beat when we were done.

After all our hard work.
Saturday and Sunday I watched conference.  It was so uplifting.  I love my Ipad because it is so easy to take notes and listen.  I find that I listens so much more intently when I am taking notes.  I am so thankful for TIVO because sometimes I fall asleep and wake up and I have missed some talks.  It is nice to know I can always go back and find out what I missed.
