8/26 to 9/1

This has been a great week.  What made it great was that I felt like I got a lot accomplished.

Late Sunday night, Linda with Zane and Bryce came in from Auburn WA.  Linda was taking Zane on to SLC later on Monday so we got to say good-by to him.  I am so proud of him.  He will be a great missionary.  He is so prepared.  He has such a great spirit.  He is a great man in the making.  Bryce was a little sad because he is going to miss him a lot but when he went over to hang out with Joe, Laura's boy, life was good again.

We are so proud of Zane

Monday, while people were gone I decided to use Ancestry.Com and see what I could find.  I decided to start with Jacob Kern and Mary Ann Dean, my gr. gr. Grandfather on the Holsinger side.  I found them on a census and then started to follow each child back and found many names.  I worked on it all week in between other activities and identified over 70 people that have their names temple ready.  I entered them all into family search and now anyone can do the work. I only got three of the children done.  They had 7 children and all were married.  It is like a treasure hunt. I love it.   I actually found a picture of Jacob Kern.

Tuesday we took Bryce to the YMCA to swim.  He had a good time playing with Willard playing water basket ball.  I swam 1 mile+.  It take 75 laps to make a mile but I did 76 because you have to go back.  I was tired but enjoyed the exercise

Wednesday, I took Bryce over to eat lunch with Cody.  Bryce sure did enjoy his time that he spent with Cody and Joe.  He loves his cousins.

Thursday, I went to an intake interview with the Y's Live Strong program that they have for breast cancer survivors. The program last for 8 weeks and it will be like having a private trainer who develops exercises and teaches you how best to work out.  I learned one thing that I must keep stretching and exercising so that my chest will not constrict in.  I am excited to go to the class and actually learn how to exercise properly.   Bryce spent the night at Joe's so I had all night to work on Ancestry.com. after I attended the choir rehearsal at the school. I was glad I went because we got the logistics worked out for the Concert on Wednesday.

Friday I took Bryce to a card making class that one of my friends that I met at Curves does.  I was quite impressed with her cards and she was so patient and kind with Bryce.  He was going on only a few hours of sleep so sometimes he was a little loopy. We made 2 card of each of the three different cards and used all kinds of techniques.  I thought it was a good buy for $12 a class.

Then Linda arrived back from taking Zane to the MTC and we took over Bryce again to Joe's for a sleep over. We then spent the rest of the night working one her genealogy. Together we figured out how to fix  her genealogy so it will show that work has been completed.

Saturday, Linda left and Jacob came.  I practiced with Nancy and the Gillenwaters.  I really feel good about it because the practice was more detailed and everyone wanted to do their best.

Sunday after church we went over to Trenton's for his birthday.  He is 43 years old today.  He and Martha have been enjoying taking the names I have and taking them to the temple.  It is great to see their enthusiasm and their love for the work increase.
