8/5 to 8/11 It is good to be back home.

This week has been a full week.

Monday, we went over and visited with Helen Stephens, my good friend from the mall who is 98 now. Her she has glaucoma so her eye sight is bad and doesn't hear very well but she still is one of the sharpest dressers I know.  She can put an outfit together out of a small wardrobe and always looks stylish.  Since we weren't in a  rush,  we took her down to the Newgate Mall where I  meet her.  We went shopping and out to lunch.  Some of the things she loves to do.    She was so happy to get out of the mall and it was so much fun spending time with her.  Willard was such a good sport, going along and waiting for us to shop. Helen loves red and she found the Red Alpaca  Sweater that she just loved so she spent the last of her birthday money on it. I found a lovely necklace and bracelet on clearance at Dillards.  We were both quite happy with our purchases.

That afternoon we went over to visit with Holly's parents Adeline and Robert Parkin.  They were taking care of the girls while Ben and Holly were out of town for their wedding anniversary.  We had such a lovely visit with them.  Adeline is also a breast cancer survivor and she told me of a Bra Shop called Debbies there in Ogden.  She could get white bra's there and the bras that I am using are the ones that I had sewn in the pockets for my fake boob.  I called the shop to see if I could get a bra from them.  They just needed a note from my doctor that I had had a mastectomy and I would be fine. I was excited. I really appreciated Adeline sharing with me.

Tuesday afternoon we went to Ogden and went to Debbies.  They had just the right bra I wanted and the best thing was that they were in-market for my insurance.  I am going to get my bra's from them from now on.   After that we went over to see Boyd and Bonnie Shelton our long time friends since Boise.  It was great to visit with them and catch up. They had just gotten back from one of their family reunions that all 43 of their family was there.  ( That would be a dream come true for me.)

When we got back to Kaysville everybody was home.  Ben was out putting up a mailbox, since the mailman would no longer deliver mail to his home since Toby sniped at him. (that was after the Mailman swiped at him) Holly was excited about her great purchases, of winter boots for the girls and a great looking jacket  she had gotten at an outlet mall at Park City.

I showed Audrey all the great games that we found for Jane and Alice.  They were enthralled with them.  It was so cute to see Audrey showing Amelia how to work the games.  Audrey would just set there and sing and play Princess Beauty Solon.

Then came Wednesday and we came home to Boise to a almost dried out lawn.  Though no fault of Jackson Bell who was taking care of the w

atering, the sprinklers weren't staying on for 10 min because there was a big wind storm on the first weekend we were gone and the power was shut off.  The sprinkler systems just reverts back to  10 min.  But thanklessness Jackson watered the rest.  There were gigantic zucchinis, little red tomatoes and the strangest cucumbers. I had ever seen.  I don't know what happened to them but they taste like cucumbers.    This is not what I planted.

My Berrie bushes were starting to produce. After I cut away the vines on the thorned black berries and Logan berries I found a lot of berries.  Between Thursday and Saturday I have gotten 2 quart bags of Berries.  My raspberry and also starting to product but the wind storm snapped  a lot of the berries bushes off.  I am excited to see the blossoms on my Strawberry plants and even pick a huge strawberry.  The phosphate is finale kicking in.

I also joined the Boise Tuesday Musical.  I have missed having my student in the Junior Festival in February, and the monster concert that they could participate sounds fun.  Rosemary Hill wanted to go also and see her old friends from the club.  I think it will be very rewarding to me as well as my students who wish to participate.

Saturday, Roselee Hunter came over and gave my first real haircut.  My hair had gotten to long is it was just misshaped.  I she did a great job.  I almost back to where I began.  My bangs just have to grow a little more but they are almost perfect too. What a difference a good cut will do.
