8/12 to 8/18 A Slow Week

This had been a slow week.  I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I went to Curve's everyday.  However, I did sign up for the Live Strong program through the YMCM.  It is an 8 week program that they have put together for breast cancer survivors.  It is two days a week with exercise.  The best part is that I get to use their pool when I want.  That is really why I signed up.

I was excited that I found a rechargeable clip on piano lamp.  I can see so much better when I am reading music.  It will really comes in handy when practicing and preforming.  Friday, I went with Nancy to her harp lesson and played our pieces for him.  He was very kind and said he liked them.  Right after we had some time to kill before we went out to eat at Willard's favorite place, Golden Corral,  we went shopping for me a skirt to wear for my performance on September 4th.  I found a perfect skirt at Dillards and jewelry to match that was on sale.  I really appreciate Willard's patients in shopping in the mall.

We decided to delay our celebration of our 45th wedding anniversary until Saturday.  Yesterday was a full day. We went to the church at 9.30 to practice with Nancy and the Gillenwaters for our performance and it went well.  Then we went on down to the Idaho Western State Fair.  We walked around and saw a comedian act which was pretty clever and also and hypnotist which was really good.  It was hot and my foot hurt because I had stubbed my toe and it was still causing me grief.

Then we went up to Crouch to the Starlight Mountain Theater.  We had dinner that was catered by Sizzler which was really good.  We were served by the actors and got to know them a bit.
Eating our dinner at the Starlight Theater.
Then we saw "Oklahoma"  They did such a great job.  They are all high school or collage students.  I don't remember "Oklahoma" being a comedy but they made it so fun with all their adl libs.  Even Willard really enjoyed it.
The Stage at the theater.
It is a small outdoor theater and all the seats are good.  We are definitely going back however we didn't get home until after 12 o'clock.

Today Nancy and I played "I'm Trying to be like Jesus and it went well.  We have got to work on our balance.  It is so hard to know how it sounding to the audience. I am so grateful to Nancy for her confidence in me.  It is wonderful have  a have a friend that  encourages  you and challenge you to lengthen your stride and develop your talents.
