Sometimes I feel like the proverbial elephant that is getting treated by 3 different doctors and each it only treating his part. There is no one that looks at the whole me, which is very frustrating. However, the Lord was understood my concern because on Wednesday, when I was to meet with Dr Brook, my radiologist, I met for the first time his nurse, and she understood all my concerns because she had been a gastric nurse for 14 years. It was so nice to talk with someone that was interested at looking at the whole picture.
Monday night I finally finished Sarah's baby blanket.

On Tuesday, I took Eva Harvey to get a Kindle Fire HD, because she loves to read but reading it hard for her now so now she can listen and read. When we got to her house, I found out that she didn't have a wireless modem so we went down to her internet carrier, Cable-One, and exchanged her modem so that she could have wireless. Then we went out to lunch at Sherris. When we got back, she was too tired to set it up, so I went back that evening. I got it somewhat set up, but she had forgotten her LDS, Netflex account name and password so it was necessary to go back but she was not feeling well the rest of the week. I hope to finish the job on Monday. It was so much fun to help her. She was so proud that she remembered how to watch a movie on the Kindle and see it on her TV with her son.
Wednesday was my first activity days with the girls. Merilee had the girls write thank you notes and made tissue paper flowers for Jill Smith, who I am replacing. Then we went over to her house and gave them to her. It was fun to watch the girls and their presentation of their flowers and card. They were so creative. The Jill gave us some cup cakes that were chocolate and peanut butter she had made. It was so good it was worth the heartburn that I had afterwords. The frosting was like a fluffy peanut bar and that the bottom had like a Reese Candy. I have got to get the recipe!
Thursday at Curves I got set up with the smart card. It acts like your own personal trainer. Each machine tells me how many reps I need to do in the 30 sec that I work out on the machine. I really like it because I have a goal and it makes me work out just that much harder. Almost all the machines I can meet or exceed my goal. I understand it will up my goal as I get stronger. I am glad I do it at 6:30 in the morning because I have the most energy at that time.
Saturday, Nancy, Terri and her daughter Marcella and I practice for our performance next Wednesday at the "Something Special" luncheon. The music really is beautiful, I think it will really bring the spirit in.
