3/11 to 3/17

This week seemed like a very busy week.  Monday was my only day that I really did absolutely nothing. Boy, did it feel good.  However, I did get Willard an appointment to see Dr. Waldman on Thursday.  It turned out to be the best things that could have happened.  The other urology clinic finally got around to calling Willard but thanks goodness we already had an appointment.

Tuesday  I gave the book report on "Banana Split" by Josi S Kilpack for Book Club. It is a Culinary Mystery which are a sub-genra of Cozy Mysteries which has rules such as a low tolerance for violence and sex and murders usually happens off stage.  Her books are fun to read and have great recipes too.

Wednesday was packed.  I exercised at 6:30 ( I weighted in at 174)  then I went to Radiation and saw Dr Brooks, the radiologist,  2 hours later I weighted 175.  Then I hurried  over to see Dr Maderious, my internist.and I weighted in at 177.  I couldn't believe it, I knew there was something wrong with his scale.  But later on in the day I remembered that at Dr. Maderious, I weighted in with my boobs on.  They weight 2 lbs.  So I have to keep that in mind the next time I weight in.

I then went over and picked up Velma Allen so she could hear our group play.  It went really well.  Many of the ladies were sobbing afterwords because it was so touching. We decided that we didn't want them to clap after our numbers.  It made it that more spiritual.  I made a DVD of our performance.  Terri Gillenwater was just beaming.  I learned that she had organized her children into a singing group that played around Twin Falls.  I could tell she really did enjoy performing again and just being able to communicated her feelings. I thought how awful it would be to have all those creative thoughts and not be able to communicate.  I hope we can do more with her.
The Cloverdale Sisters

After the luncheon, I found out that Deborah and Hailey were going to the Aquarium so I dropped by after I took Velma home. We had a good time there.  It is a fun place to go.

Thursday after radiation I went to see Dr. Hodson and didn't leave until 12.  I thought I would never get out of there. The only upside was that I got a lot of reading on my new book "Pumpkin Roll"   done. Dr.  Hodson finally agreed that she was making me sick due to the Farma pills.  She thinks that I am going through estrogen withdrawl.  She wants me to go see a gynecologist just to make sure nothing else is going on.  Then I got a call on Friday, telling me my blood work showed that I was low on Vit D and that I needed to take a supplement.  Also, my bones were starting to thin and I needed to do some weight baring exercise.  With my gardening , exercising at Curves  and taking a supplement, they felt that would do the trick. ( One of the side effects for Farma is osteoporosis)

I went with Willard to see Dr. Waldman.  I sure do like him and I am so glad we went to him because his office works independently from Hospitals, so all the testing, the MRI and Surgery can  be done at their facility and is half the cost to the hospital. Willard is going to have to have surgery but the Dr. just doesn't know what all he needs.  He was floored to find out that after his last bout with kidney stones in 2005 when they told him that he also had bladder stones, that they didn't recommend that he see about getting them removed.  He is going in on Friday to have an MRI and Cystoscopy done.  I am glad he is going to get the help that he has needed for years.  Going to the right doctor does make all the difference in the world.

Before
Friday I tackled the North fence. It was a mess too.  I worked out there for 2 hours and got over half of it done.   Then on Saturday I went out to Edwards with Nancy to pick up some Tribute strawberries, but was disappointed that they weren't going to be available until next week.  Then Willard and I went to Freddies and I saw some big beautiful pansies. I love pansies so I had to buy 2 6 packs.  So I came home and finished the fence and planted the pansies. I even got the raspberries done.  I could hardly walk when I got done but it looked so good.   I worked out there for 5 hours and my hands were killing me.  But it was worth it. It was fun to discover all the bulbs that were coming up.  It is sort of like life:  sometimes you have to put out the weeds in your life so that you can see the beauty around you.

After
Jacob also came to spend a week here.  I guess he needed a break.  It is nice that he can work from home with little pressure.

Trenton's knee
Sunday after church we had Trenton and family over for dinner.  Trenton has had some real problems with his right leg. (It is the side that was paralyzed)  His knee and thigh has been really hurting and now the knee is swollen.  The doctors have ruled out gout and now his is going to have to see and orthopedic doctor.   Until I took the picture, I didn't realized how different each leg was different in muscle tone.

Amber didn't come so it was nice to just to visit with the boys.
