Monday I finally came up with an idea of how to fix up the baptism bears for an Activity Day Activity. I found this presentation of the 3 baptism bears to help the children remember their baptismal covenants. You promise to Bear His Name, Bear Testimony of him and Bear One Another's Burden. At first I was going to get some very small bears and make a wall hanging with them but that was sort of expensive, then I found these bigger teddy bears on line that came in a set of 12 with six different colors. So I ordered them and then started to the accessories. I made hats with His Name printed on it, a Heart with Testimony and then a crocheted bag the had On another's burdens on it. I am going to make sets of Blue, Pink, Purple, Green, yellow and white to go with the different colors of bear. They have been fun to make.

On Tuesday, I stopped by and got Dianne's #4 prostheses and now I am much happier with the combination of size. She is a great friend and it is great to be able to discuss things with her.
Hailey and Cody came over that afternoon. Cody helped Willard cut up the blackberry vines to go in the garbage and Hailey did her piano lessons. Then we played Yazzie. She is so lucky. She waxed me

Wednesday I went to see a gynecologist who turned out to be less than satisfactory. I went in complaint about my UTI type burning. He checked me; found out where I hurt and then proceeded to tell me that there really wasn't anything he could do for me because he didn't know why I was hurting. He then told me that I should pee in a tube of water, if it hurt it was a urinary tract thing and if it didn't it was a vaginal thing. He then proceeded to tell me that I could use a home remedy like Crisco Oil, (he never did explain to me how that would work). He stepped out and came back and said he had ordered a numbing cream to help if it got bad. I then went to Walmart the next day to pick up the ointment and it hadn't been ordered. I called the office and they found no notes to that effect and the doctor wouldn't be in until Monday. To say the least I will not go to that doctor again!
That afternoon we had activity days over at the Andrews. Each girl wrote a special message of encouragement to Russ Rowley who is going to SLC for a bone marrow transplant and Maryilyn Rowe who is home bound due to pain.

While reading the Ensign on the Kindle I came across the link to the 9th International Art Competition. I was thrilled because I love to look at gospel art. The web address is https://history.lds.org/media-collection/9th-art-comp?lang=eng. This first picture made me think of Laura and the aquarium, it gave me a different view point of the ocean.
The picture is called Eternal Diversity by Gwenola Anna Margaretha Thizon, born 1969 in France.
She explains her work: Nature, in all its diversity, is part of the marvelous works of the Lord. Creatures large and small live together in the oceans, and perfect harmony reigns among them. Thanks to researchers and discoverers, we can better understand the lives of animals—but all of this knowledge is accessible to us thanks to God, who gives His children revelations and knowledge of the world we live in, little by little.
Another one I really liked was called Mothering by Rebecca Miller, B. 1980 in Washington
It just me nostalgic for my own girls and wishing I could be there in that place just once more.
The last picture I really liked was Come Unto Me, by John Zamudio, . 1968 in Peru. I love the face of Christ and how it is full of love for the children.
I am so grateful for good art because it brings me much peace and joy to look at the wonderful things people have created with all kinds of mediums.
