Tuesday, I did go out to lunch with Kathy to Soup & Salad. Her husband and other family members are helping her ex-boss from Macys open a new Italian Chicago restaurant. She tells me the Italian food is different in Chicago where she is from. She is going to be doing the books. I look forward to go an seeing it when it opens.
Wednesday I started radiation. I get to go everyday at 8:45. It takes me 25 minuets to drive there, 3 minuet to strip to my waist, 5 minuets or less for radiation and then the reverse. So it is just really a necessary inconvenience. I just can't shave under my arm pit, scrub that side of my chest, or wear deodorant, and put the special cream on 2 to 3 times a day to protect the skin. There are 33 treatments so I now only have 30, but who's counting? I AM.
Thursday, I spent most of the day preparing dinner for Laura's family that was coming over for dinner. Hailey came over and set the table beautifully for the dinner and then we practice. We had fun recording her practice on the Kindle HD Fire.

The rest of the week was pretty uneventful, except going over to Nancy's to practice. It is always fun to hear if the part that I write for her will sound good. I am getting more of a feel for the timber of the Harp. I have to rewrite some parts because they need to be lower. The Harp hurts your ears if the melody is played high.
I used the Kindle HD with Skype for the first time to teach Jane. I tested it out and called Joe and found that the picture is much clearer. I guess being HD makes a difference. I really liked using it because I can demonstrate hand technique better. Also, I found that the Kindles both have a text to speech option on reading books. The HD has better sound and it can be controlled. I found it very helpful when I used it to read Jesus the Christ by Talmage. I started reading and listening to is today. It really helps me focus and I don't get so lost in the language. Willard was much happier because I found out how I can make the printing larger so he can read more easily.
Today I was sustained to help with the Activity Days for the girls 8-11. I will be doing it with Merilee Andrew. I am really looking forward to it. It will be so much fun and Hailey will be joining the group in May which makes it doubly exciting. I understand that from others that it is one of the best callings.
I would be very ungrateful if I didn't mention my miracle that happened today. When I got home from Choir I began to look for my Kindle HD. I couldn't find it anywhere. I knew I had been entering dates on the calendar on the way home from church. I brought in my church bag and left it on the chair. I fixed dinner and then got in the truck which was in the driveway and drove it to choir. When I came home, I drove the truck into the garage and went straight to my bag for my Kindle. It wasn't there. I turned the house upside down and still didn't find it. I went out and looking in the truck thinking maybe I left it in the car. It wasn't in the truck. So I came in and looked some more. (Of course I was praying all the time) Willard mentioned that maybe it had fallen out when I got out the of the truck earlier. So I went out the back door that goes into the garage just to check and there the Kindle was on the RUNNING BOARD. It was a miracle that it hadn't fallen off on my drive over to Choir. Blessing do come when you pray, study and go to church. I have a firm testimony of that.
