Willard opening his licorice |
Jacob excited about his Rice Crispy Treats |
Not much to write about this week except for the wonderful Christmas that we had. We had a lot of presents to open but they weren't expensive gifts but we had fun giving silly but practical things. Willard gave me 3 boxes of Swiss Miss Diet Chocolate, some licorice, some foot care product, protein bars and sweet and salt granola bars. He also gave me money to buy a new temple bag. He is always so thoughtful and spoils me. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband. Jacob has been taught well by his father because he was so observant of the things we needed around the house. He bought us both pillows ( to replace Willard s very flat pillow that he has had for years), a new kitchen Wastebasket that has a lid on it, a trash can for the bathroom. and a new brown recliner chair. I was impressed with how thoughtful his gifts were. All of the children have been so thoughtful and kind.
Wednesday, we went out to Soup and Salad with Chuck, Laura and the kids except Davis because he was not feeling well. Then we all went over to her house. They opened her new game Dance 3. I can't believe how good they all dance. I am looking forward to a time when I can participate. My drains really started to bother me and cause a lot of discomfort. I am so hoping to get them out this Monday.
Saturday I developed an urinary track infection and finally got medication for it this Sunday afternoon. Deborah was so sweet to pick up the prescription for me. I have read 3 books, so I am really enjoying the Kindle Fire but I am looking forward to being a little more active.
This year has been a lot of sweet and with a sprinkle of sour. I am so grateful for all the experiences I have had this year. Our mission was such a blessing in our lives and even the cancer trial has blessed my life. Through it many prayers have been answered and my faith strengthened. I wish I could find the words to express my gratitude to my Heavenly Father for I truly feel blessed with a loving husband, children, great son's and daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. Indeed my quiver is full.
Next year I hope to be serving in the temple and be of more service to my wonderful family and ward family for nothing brings more happiness that service!
