12/17 to 12/23

Monday was a good day.  Betty came over with her kids, Hunter, Garren and Whitney to deliver some Christmas present and to bring over dinner.  We really appreciate her kindness.   I forgot that Dianne Salsbury was going to bring over dinner but it worked out really well because everyone had something they likes.  Garren loved Salsbury's pot-roast.  It was fun having them over to eat and visit.
Tuesday was a big day.  First I went to get my INR done and it was just a little low.  Then we hurried over to Dr. Cushman's office and they took out 2 of my drains.  Hopefully, I will get the rest out on on Wednesday.  But I have found a way to keep them up out of the way.  I just stuff them into my bra and it just adds some depth to my fake boobies.   After that I went to Dr Hodson's for a blood draw and then I saw Dr. Hodson.  I finally asked the right questions and got an answer I could understand.  I had 4 tumors in my right breast and then out of the 15 lymph glans only 3 had cancer cells in them.  Dr. Cushman is very confident that he got all the cancer.   Dr. Hodson put me on the hormone theory  for 5 years.  It is suppose to have some side effects like short term memory problems and hot flashes but so far nothing.  That night we went out to dinner and then shopping for a suit for Jacob at Dillard's.

The next days I was sort of tired and just relaxed trying to get my other drain tubes to get under 30 per 24 hours but it hasn't happened yet.

Jacob and Deborah
Deborah came over on Friday after her injection and we went out to lunch at Applebee's. She was feeling good because of the numbing shot in her arm.    She introduced me to the shot deserts that were very small but just right for a $1.  Later she came over and just hung out with Jacob.  We had fun kicking  back and relaxing.

Later on she brought over Cody and Hailey while Jacob and her went out shopping.  They were happy just playing on the Itouch.  Later they rubbed my feet.  ( My 2nd toes have been effect by the chemo)  They were so sweet to mind their mother and did a really great job on my feet.  That really  was an really extra special treat.  I really appreciated their service

Saturday Jacob, Deborah and I went to the Hobbet. It was good and we all enjoyed it.  What was amazing was that no one got up once during that long show.  Then we went to Target and then grabbed a sandwich at Jimmy Johns.   It was nice just to get out of the house.

My handsome men
Sunday Jacob got on his new suit.  We hope that some girl might be impressed with him.  He looked pretty sharp in his new suit.   At church the Choir sang for Sacrament Meets.  They did a beautiful job and many a time tears came to my eyes because of the beautiful sound. They were truly a choir of angels.  I know there were over 30 in the choir and such a range from 8 on up.  There were many college kids that came up and helped.  What great music to celebrate the birth of the Savior!.

That afternoon Betty family came over and Deborah too because they wanted to open our presents from the Kids.  Well I knew what Dad was getting and he certainly was surprised by the Kindle Fire.  Once Betty got him started he was even figuring out things.  Then it was my turn and they gave me a HD Kindle Fire which was totally unexpected.  I guess the kids figured that we both needed to have our own.  We do like to read books.  We really appreciate the kind thoughtfulness of the children.  We really do have a great family.

What  a surprise
It has been an interesting evening with all the neighbor gifts coming.  The talented Hale family came and sung to us the Grinch song.   They have such marvelous voices.  It was so much fun to hear them sing.  What a wonderful way to end the Sabbath day!
