Life is good.  We have hot water and the toilet flushes!

baptism.  Her dad is in the picture with her cousin and Bishop Gilmore.  Then after the baptism, we had a primary activity.  First I taught them “Mother I Love you Song”  The first phrase I taught them how to say it in Navajo.  I worked and worked to remember it.  I still have to look at it to remember how to say it.  Then the Children went to find eggs, after that they used the plastic eggs to fill the egg carton with story of the Resurrection. After that we had potato Salad, hot dog, chips and cupcakes.  It got over about after 1.  Then I came home and finished Elder Williams book by
The Children looking for eggs

Tony Hillerman called the Shape Shifter.  The author write mysteries incorporating Navajo stories and culture.  I really enjoyed the book.  Then we went up to the church for Navajo Taco’s for a farewell dinner for the Musbourn family who is leaving to go work at Fort Lewis in Washington and the Williams.

Sister Williams gave me a beautiful chain to wear this lovely Blue stone on.

Sunday was a very special Easter Sunday for me.  I woke up with the thoughts of Christ and His atonement.  I reflected on all the people I have gotten to know here.  They are wonderful people but they have had hard times and have been through a lot.  They haven’t been prefect.  Bishop Gilmore in his youth ran bootleg whisky for his dad.  Brother James who is the second counselor has had a very checkers past but they have repented and are such good men now.  There are so many stories like this.   I thought if these people were put into our  ward back home would they be received as well as they are here?   They have had hard lives but their hearts have been soften and have had the might change of heart.  (Brother James, who has a CD out,  gave me a flute out of kindness because Willard told him I wanted to get a flute.  He plays the Guitar with a flute player who made the flute. )  I am so thankful for the Atonement and really can see it in action in people’s lives here.  The second ward had fast meeting today and it lasted 1 hour and 50 min.  People kept coming up and the bishop was very wise and let the spirit flow.  It was so touching when Aurora’s father got up and bore his testimony  and told us that he was an alcoholic and a drug addict and had been clean for 3 months  and he was just taking one day at a time.
Elder William received a bag of Blue Bird flour.
Sister William got a lovey beaded necklace

Then for First ward, Sister Ziegler sang “I Believe in Christ” and Sister Williams and I played the accompaniment and the congregation sang on the fourth verse.  It was the same arrangement that Nancy Cotter and I did for the Primary program in 2010.  It went very well.  Then I started looking around in the audience.  I didn’t see the Primary President and Kristy Nelson had her baby.  So that left Bobby Baily, who just started coming to church and I plus the 2 teachers.  While the speaker were speaking, I went out and prepared a share time and I was hoping some of 1st ward teachers would show up because 2nd wards hadn’t.

The Group
Roderco from Texas
The Gilmor's
I got Sister Ziegler to come in and help lead the singing and we winged it for a while.  While we were trying to get organized Sister Cly, one of the teachers said that she wasn’t going to be teaching because she had to get home to her company.   Then the old primary president came in and took over.  Thank goodness.  What a Sunday.   Then we went over to the Gilmore’s for dinner but first we went to show Roderco, a fellow that just showed up to church because he felt that was where the spirit told him to go and the Gillmore’s had invited him to dinner.  We had a great time there.  We have had such a wonderful time getting to know the Willaims and the Ziegler’s.  I hope the Howards are just as wonderful.
