On the 12th I went to the Senior Luncheon which was very nice. It is always nice to set down and eat with wonderful women. On the 13th I went to Deborah's Thrive party. I had ordered some the earlier but hadn't really tasted it. I was really impressed with the tasted and the quality of food. I loved the milk. I am looking forward to getting my order some time.
On the 13th we went over to help Betty move in to her new home. It is a big beautiful 3 story home clear passed Barber Dam by the New East Jr High. We worked all day and we were so beat that we forgot to go to the High Priest Social that we were looking forward to.
Then on the 14th I went to the Family History seminar. I went to the class on how to use Google to find your ancestors. Then a class on how to notate sources, a class on how to use Family Insight and a few other. I really enjoyed myself. I will be glad after the first of the year when I can get to work again.
I have been so busy just practicing on the piece for our new Christmas program and making stars for Christmas I haven't had time for much else.
On the 19th I made bread, and canned tomato sauce and 27 pints of carrots. Then taught lessons and made dinner. I was exhausted at that point and just sat down and practice. Then later I got and email from Nancy saying she didn't call me to remember that I was going to come over and practice with her because she thought I was still sick. No I just forgot all about it. I just have so much going on that I get spacie
On the 18th we went to election training and had a nice quite day after lessons. On Wednesday Sarah called and told us about the sale on plane fares and asked us if I still wanted to come and take care of her kids while Andrew and her went to Hawaii. I said sure and so we got a ticket for dad and she is paying for my ticket. We will be going from January 19th to February to 4th.
Then on Thursday the 20th I helped out in Hailey class in the morning, then we went to Valley View Retirement Center and performed. That was fun because my Aunt Sybil had lived there and a lot of the people knew of the Holsingers. One funny thing happened was that on the first number the piano kept moving every time I would depress the pedal. I literally had to scoot the piano bench down so I could stay in front of the piano. We finally got the wheels locked. That later that night I played for Nancy at the Stake Relief Society. I had arranged a lovely accompaniment to go with her harp solo "As I have loved you"
On the 21 we got up and went of the Stake house to set up for the ward party. Deborah and I were in charge of two tables. They were to have a Hillbilly theme. Ours were Road Kill Cafe and Hillbilly Holiday. Our was the best looking. Deborah really knows how to decorate. We took the opportunity to dress up in our best hillbilly get up with Deborahs help. We all had a good time at the party. Willard told jokes. Deborah arm wrestled, I spit sunflower seeds and Cody was in the pie eating contest. It was a great party.
On Saturday I finally got the bulbs in and Sunday we had the primary program which went well. This week we are going to Seattle. I am really looking forward to it. I get to go to a band completion. I am so excited about it.
Oh yes must mention this. My diet is going well. This morning I was 170.8 lbs. That is a lost of about 8 lbs this month. I have been diligently exercising every other day.
