We had a wonderful time in Seattle. We left on Wednesday and got to Auburn in great time. We got there around 3 and so had sometime to visit with the family. Thursday morning we went to the temple. It only took us about 1.15 minuets to get there. It normally is a 30 minuet drive but traffic was awful. I was so good to be back in the temple and got some great direction.
That night we went the local pumpkin patch and Bryce picked out his pumpkin and came home and carved it. I thought he did
very well.
Friday, Sheran came over and took us out to Dennys and then over to Summer's home. It is a lovely home. I loved the openness of it and the red and white colors. She is still in the process of decorating it. Sheran made a really cute blanket for the new little boy that is coming in January. Then that night I went with Linda to the Ward's Halloween party. She had to decorate a door in a classroom and handed out candy. Valin helped out with the games and Bryce just tried to see how much candy he could get.
Saturday, Linda and I went to the Band Competition to watch Valin and Zane participate with their band. It was a small competition with only 6 bands participating, Valin was the only tuba and Zane play the xylophone and was dressed as a lion and played in the pit. The program was call Ozmosis. They played selections from Wizard of Oz, and Wicked. In the morning they performed and then the judged gave them hints to make their performance better and then they performed in the afternoon and were judged. They placed 3rd and they were one of the smallest band. Willard went to Bryce's soccer game and then joined us for the afternoon performance. Bryce was quite the
business man at the competition. He asked one of the ladies that was going around selling things if he could do something so that he could get candy. She told him if he would pick up a bag of trash she would giving him a piece of pizza. So him went forth and g
ot two bags. It kept him busy and filled him up at the same time. It was cold all day but at least it didn't rain. We all went out to dinner at Red Robin. We were all pretty tired after that.
Sunday we attended church and visited with Sheran. She had been staying over at Summers home while she and her family were in Florida. She was babysitting their dog. She supplements her income with house sitting and dog sitting.
