This week has sort of been a laid back week. Went to work, ( which was less than exciting) finished project for Taylor, had her and Denton over for Dinner on Saturday. I sure did enjoy their visit. Denton is an awesome fellow! He captured my heart when he was excited about Grandpa Crittenden's Journal and the old D&C. He knows how to make an old lady happy. Dinner was almost a disaster, I went in at 3:30 to put the potatoes and carrots into the roast and was horrified to find that I forgot to turn on the oven. I was frantic and then I remembered that I had a pressure cooker canner that I had bought last fall. So I just put every thing in it and cooked it and it was ready by 5! Everything, turned out tender and tasty.
Jerry sent over a picture of me that I had never seen. It was taken when I was 4 because of the gate that is in the back, which was at the house on 16th street.
Willard and I went to see Bob Hurst on Wednesday, he is our financial advisor. We have known him for about 20 years. He serves us well and informed us of our options Willard has got to figure out a lot of stuff, because he is turning that grand age of 65. He can't even be on my insurance. So at least my paycheck will grow a bit.
Today was almost another problem. The choir was suppose to sing but since there were only 4 people who came to practice. They decided not to sing, so I pulled the primary children that sang in the morning for Meadow Lake and had them do the same song. I certainly hope that we can get more participation by the choir members.
I called my good friend Helen Stephens in Ogden and wished her a Happy 96th birthday. She is such a great person and I hope that I can have her upbeat attitude if I get to be her age. She is my butterfly lady. She has been an inspiration to me.
