February 13, 2011,

This week has been a fun week. Friday night we went to the Mountain View Choir Dinner where we were entertained by the choir as we ate our prime rib dinner. It was a lovely evening.

Saturday, Deborah, Brittney, Laura, Maddy and I all went and had a pedicure done. I even got a flower painted on my toe nail. (see all the picture on facebook) Then for the first time I had a lip and eyebrow waxing done. I really liked the effect. The girls said it made me look much younger. (Ya Right) Then we all went out to the "Great Wall" to eat. I was stuffed and came home to crochet on my projects.

Wednesday, Brittney went with me Visiting Teaching because I didn't have a partner. We visited with Emma Goddard and then Melba More. Brittney was so fun to take and it was nice going with someone that could help carry the conversation and also add to the lesson. I had asked that she tell the story of Tabitha from the scriptures that was mentioned in the VT message. She did a fine job. Melba then shared with us that there were others in the ward that were confined or hesitant about the ward and she expressed how little children can always fill someone's lonely heart. Then Brittney and I had the idea of having Hailey, Cody and her make some valentines and take them to some residence at the retirement village Meadow Lake. Hailey made some beautiful cards and I put together a little valentine bag. Then we took them over to some ward members this Sunday night I couldn't have been prouder of those grandchildren. They were so charming and delightful. I was so proud of Cody, who said he wouldn't sing, but sang beautifully the little valentine song I made up using the tune of "Happy Birthday" Each person was thrilled and were so delighted that they hadn't been forgotten. We even meet the former Governor Evens. We really surprised them. All in all it was a wonderful way to end or start the week out with.
