December 12, 2010

This past 2 weeks have been full ones. I was getting ready to go to Virginia. I worked on getting the program done for Christmas, ordering trophies for my piano students and just getting things ready to the trip.

We left on a snowy Saturdayy and thanks goodness we didn't have too many bad delays. We left at 12pm and arrived at 10pm. Since our bodies time clock was still on MTS we had no problem getting up and getting the twins ready. Dad was concerned that he was going to forget the names and so he wrote them down on a piece of paper and sure enough he had to pull out the paper and then he still didn't pronoun the names right. But he gave them both a beautiful blessing. They both looked so precious. They are such good babies. Athena spit up a little more and has a little more aggressive attitude and Lilith is a little bit more docile.
Aris doesn't quite know what to do with them. She loves them but she is trying to adjust to not being the center of attention. Saroga and Xavier are a big help.

We took the girls to their two month appointments and shots. They are doing well and are gaining weight. Lilith is almost 7 lbs and Athena is about 2 lbs ahead.

We went to see where Joe works and meet a lot of his buddies there. It was strange to see our little Joe being the boss that the others were coming to for direction and help to work out the problems. They really think a lot of him and really value his knowledge and talent for the work there.

We went to the Nautilus and saw some fish and other sea life. We had the experience of petting a very small shark . In the same building was a navy museum. It was very educational seeing all the exhibits. Then we all went on the battleship Wisconsin. It was so cold that I quickly took the girls in and waited for them to get finished looking around the ship.

Later on Friday we went to Yorktown in between some appointments that the girls had and it was fun looking at some to the old battlefields.

I spent a lot of time making them all hats. Also, made some booties that would fit the girls. They are so little that most things don't fits. All in all we had a very good visit and enjoyed being with Joe's family. I sure hope that move to Hill AFB. It would be great to be able to see them more.

While we were gone, Joshua and Cody got baptized, Tobin was honored by the National Guard because he is retiring, Deborah had a hysterectomy on Wednesday and Brittney came home on Friday I don't know why everything had to happen on the same weekend but that's life.

It is good to be back home again but still so much to do. Visiting teaching, piano recital and oh yes, Christmas.
