Septerber 12, 2010

This week has another busy one and got some thing accomplished. I woke up Monday morning and was contemplating life and family and then I had an idea! I was reflecting on how listening to great music helped me with the Christmas program. Then I thought of Trenton kids and how good music might effect them. So on Monday I went to Big Lots and got a inexpensive MP3 and filled it with all of my good music. The player I got had a touch screen with big letters. Then I thought of the women that I visit teach and their love of music and some of them lack of good eyesight. So on Sat before I took it over to Trenton's I showed Rosemary and Marie (who just lost her husband last week) and they were excited about it. Marie didn't even know those were available and Rosemary has a lot of CD's that she would like to have on a MP. So it was fun opening a world to them that they can get soothing great music all on one device.

In thinking about Music I was reflecting that every 3rd Sunday I needed a musical number to go to Meadow Lake for their Sacrament meeting because that is the week that the choir sings at church. So I had a great idea that we could use the children from primary and form a Meadow Lake Children's Choir and they would sing the song from the Sacrament meet program that they have prepared. I presented it to the Primary President and she was excited about it and 11 children wanted to be in the choir. Which is perfect because there will be as many children as those who are attending that little branch. Here is my handout and what is required of the children.

We were really excited that Jacob passed his Networking test and now he is going to work to get his Security Certificate. We are so proud of him that he is having a successful experience at school. Then I heard from Sarah that she is getting pretty close to delivering. I though she will be having the baby before her due date. I can't wait to see them.

My steam juicer came on Wednesday, and so on Thursday and Friday I steamed the grapes. I got 13 quarts of juice just for one Interlaken seedless grapes. This year they were really good and sweet. They made wonderful juice. I still had some other seeded Concords grapes that will be ready in October. They are new vines so there will not be to many grapes.

At work I found out that I ranked 40th out of over 500 agents. So I felt pretty good about that and I even got a 1 on my first call. Only 2 more to go. I has to work on Saturday because of the NFL. Thank goodness I only had to work 4.33 hours. I have to do it again next Saturday. Yuk, but I do get good overtime pay.

Today after choir practice, I went over to the Griffins to show Terry where to find the Mormon Channel on the internet. I love the it there is so much to partake of there. It is mind expanding. Anyway, I was showing her all the different categories that are on the Mormon channel and I went in to "In to all the World" and scrolling down I saw an interview with John and Marsha Hill, Willard's brother. So now I have got to download it on my Itouch and listen to it.

I worked on the bells parts for Christmas. Nancy brought her bells and the choir read through the music and I think we have all the parts right. Then Beca Dunkley came up and reminded us that she played the bells all through College. So I quickly handed over the project because she knows more what she is doing that I. Thank goodness, the Lord does provide when there is a need.

I worked all week on the hat that I donated for the Relief Society auction. The pattern was really hard to follow and it was coming out to big. So I took it to church and tried it on a lot of little heads. I was so glad I did because now I know that I am just about done with it because if it follower the pattern it would be hanging it their eyes.

Then today in Sunday's paper my son-in-law Andy Movies and his daughter were in the paper. They participated in the service project at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. Willard went to Eagle Island to clean it up. The following is the caption under the photo.

Over 500 people came out Saturday for the Church of Jesus Christ Idaho Day of Service. The members of Boise's East Stake spent the morning cleaning up the Old Idaho Penitentiary, the Idaho Botanical Gardens, and Adams Elementary School. They swept cells, pruned rose bushes and dug ditches. Andrew Movius, and his daughter, Whitney, 17, wore masks to keep the dust out as they swept one of the cell blocks at the Penitentiary Saturday morning.

I am so proud of my grand kids that they are willing to do service.
I was impressed today at church a sister had to take one of her children out and didn't know what to do with her little boy. Brittney observed her dilemma and go him and brought him over to sit with us and then Cody went over an helped entertain him. What great grand kid I have. I love them all!
