September 19, 2010

Not to much going on this week because I worked 6 days. This Saturday was to make up for the NFL overtime I didn't due on the first weekend. Thank goodness I get to have Wednesday off.

Wednesday I did get to the temple but all other days seem like I just don't have time to get things done. Friday night Willard and I went to Khols because we had a 30% off all the sales stuff and now we have $70 of Khols cash to spend after the Sep 22. We got a suit and a coat for Willard and a coat for me. So we felt we did pretty good. We needed to get things for all of our baby trips. 3 more weeks to go!!! I can hardly wait.

I have been listening to Conversations on the Mormon Channel and I wrote down some of the really good quotes. This is from Susan Easton Black. She said that her mother always told hier
Small people talk about people
Medium people talk about events and
Great people talk about ideas

This really gave me something to think about. I don't think I have a great mind. I really do need to develop it more.

Then Brother Moody who was the head of the Music committee quoted this two thoughts first from Henry David Thoreau said
In a world of peace and love, Music would be the universal Language. Of course, I have always felt it is already a universal language.

The Suzui said
Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens.
If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth and learns to play it himself
He develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.

I loved how he put it because I really feel that music develops a child in more ways than one.

Oh yes, then Maddy came over for a birthday dinner and we looked at patterns for hats. I can't believe she is 12. Here is a picture of her between the dahlias. I thought it was a perfect frame for her. What a wonderful young lady.
