September 26, 2010

Well another week goes by and still no baby! I thought for sure we would be hearing from Sarah that the baby has come. I hope it comes before we get there.

This week has been a really slow week at DTV. They some how put it together that our call center was taking a lot more calls that the other call centers so they have changed the routing so now there is about 3 or 4 min between calls. So it is really a change of pace. I am looking forward to next week because I get to help in OJT (that is coaching those new agents before they get on the floor) . So only tomorrow will I have to be on the phones.

On Monday I finished one bootee and just have the cuff to put on the last one but then I wanted to do something different and I really needed to get the hat done for the Tory, the lady that bid on the hat. I didn't like the way the one that I did turned out so found a really cute pattern and was excited to try it out. So I made this white one out of cotton thread. It was so fun to make and turned out really well. I thought I would make the grand daughters hats if they would like. This is the Bobble Hat

Well that was so much fun I had to try another pattern and made a flower to go with it. It uses the shell stitch which it really cute.

Then I just had to try one last pattern but the directions weren't clear so I just made up my own hat using the X stitch. I made a hat for a 3-6 month old then one that would fit a newborn. The big doll has a 15" head and the little one has a 13" head. I have some other really cute hats I want to try for the older granddaughters if they would want to have them. I will just have to hear from them if they want one. I love to make them.

Willard came to me Tuesday evening and told me about a great sale that RC Willey's was having on HDTV's. But we couldn't think of where we would put one to the issue was a dead one. Then when I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (which is unusual for me) the idea came clear as where we could put one. All we needed to do is the switch the entertainment center with the dresser. Then the ideas kept flowing on what we need to do to make it all function-able. So we have spent the last 3 days cleaning an rearranging closets and dresser. We are taking 5 garbage bags to DI's and have the trash cans full. It feels so good to get all the junk cleaned out. Oh we decided to wait to get the TV until the Christmas sales because when he went to R C Willey's they had never heard about the sale. But there is a lot more to know and figure out what we need to that we can use the internet to watch TV. I still have to figure that out. I know it can be done because that is was callers are telling me when they are disconnecting because they don't want to pay for TV.

I guess it is OK now to announce that I am so excited about Holly and Ben's news that number 27 will be arriving in April. I feel so bad for Holly for she is so sick. Then she got the flue on top of it and I guess they had to give her an IV just to get fluids back into her because she couldn't keep anything down.

One last thing, I got an email from Kathy Haney (my McClellen relitive) saying that she was telling her home teacher about our meeting and she showed him my picture and then he surprised her but telling her that he knew my name and that I was a cousin of his. His name was Cline Waddell. His Aunt and Uncle were Jean and Clint Larson. Jean was the sister of Vesse Hatch who was my brothers mother. We were in the same seminary class when we were juniors and discovered our relationship. We keep touching each other lives. Cline's wife was my roomate when I had Trenton. She had her baby the day before me and went home. Then lately I have seen him at the temple. Now he is Kathy's home teachers. It is a small world and Hatch's and the Shortridge's keep connecting. We are one eternal family.

  1. Jane wants a the pink one on the newborn baby but with a knitted flower on it like the blue one. If you have time you can make her sister a matching one.
