5/28 to 6/2

This is a 6 days later.  The red spot is where it hit my eye.
What a week it ended with a bang!

But first the mundane parts of life.  Monday, Memorial Day,  I got up early for the door busters at Freddie's, (Curves was closed) bought a lot of flowers to put in my pots, and then headed over to Walmart for some other items.  While there I tried to separate a tomato cage by pulling up and one of the corners gouged the corner of my left eye. I was really luck, if it was a 1/4" over, my sight would have had serious problems.

Couple of the Flower pots.
I came home and planted my pots.  Fixed a nice lunch, watched a few movies with Willard, finished a book "Isle of the Sea" and then made corrections on "The Lord Is My Shepherd"

Tuesday,  I went to the temple where I got the idea of how to handle the accompaniment for "The First Noel".  I then  stopped and saw Laura.  I hardly recognized her because she had colored her hair and was sporting some cute bangs. Things are going well with her. She is now going to have Monday and Friday off at the store so she can work.  While I was visiting, I finally heard from  Willard that the Doctor had ordered some anti-inflammatory for him. They called they told him that he didn't have a UTI.  When I went to get our prescriptions,  I decided to tell Walmart about my incident because they needed to do something to prevent it happening to someone else.  I talked with the Assistant Manager and he said he had experienced the same thing except it hit him the chest. He was over 6 ft tall.  It will be interesting if they do anything about it.

That afternoon I redid the last part of the Christmas medley and the idea turned out well. Both corrections sounded pretty good when Nancy and I practiced that night.

Wednesday, was a cold rainy day. A perfect day to stay in a read a book.   I started to read "The Utah Code Breaker"  Willard had read it and couldn't put it down. So we exchanged our Kindles and we both started reading.   I found it just as gripping and found out that the first book was free. So I am planing on reading "The Mormon Hacker" next. Aubrey Andrew and all the Durrants came for piano lesson.  It was a good break between reading.

Thursday, after I went to see Dr. King, I picked up Diane to go to the Stake Humanitarian Day.  When we got there no one was there.  We found out that it was last Thursday so we then went bowling.  I did even worse but it was fun to go.  We then meet Richard at the senior citizen center for lunch.
When I got home I sat down and finished my book.  Then Hailey came for her piano lesson.  She did so well on her lesson and had such a great attitude. It was like a different person.  I guess chocolate really helps.  I told her if she would let me play with her that she could have a Hershey Miniature.  That was the ticket.

Friday, it had finally dried out so I went out and weeded the north, east, and south fence.  When I was out there I noticed that the grass really had gotten long and Willard felt that we just couldn't wait until next Monday for Hunter to come and mow.  I told him I wanted to learn how to use the lawn mower.  When I was over at Terri Giffeth house consulting her about her garden, he mowed the front and did the hard part of the hills then he let me try.
I didn't do to badly as long as you don't count riding the clutch and taking out a small corner of the fence by the gate.  I decided that I would definitely leave it to the pro's.  Sheran called that afternoon and told us that Zane had gotten his mission call but Tobin was in Alaska and won't be home until late so they would call the next day.

Saturday morning Zane called and said they would be opening the call at 6 their time.  Which was perfect because Hailey's baptism.  We worked in the yard, putting grass clippings around the strawberries which I read was a great way to fertilize them and also cut down the weeds.

We went to Hailey baptism and Willard baptized and confirmed her.  I am very proud of Hailey because she chose to be baptized.  She certainly is a beautiful young lady inside and outside. What a wonderful experience for all.
The Family before the baptism
Hailey new and clean.
Then we came home and Skyped with Tobin and watched Zane open his mission call.  Another great and fun experience.  He is going to the Sendai, Japan mission. He will be reporting to the Provo missionary training center on Valen's birthday, the 28th of August!!!  I looked it up Sendai and it is the city where the 2011 earthquake happened.  What an exciting time to go on a mission.  I still remember when he was just a little boy. He was so cute and with such a personality.
Zane at 1,  I think

Now he will be serving in Japan which is really a blessing for him because he has been taking Japaneses.  Maybe, he will run into my friend Emiko Garahro that I knew in High School but have lost contact with her.  He is excited to serve the Lord!   We are so grateful for his decision to service a mission.  I know he will bless and serve many people.
