5/6 through 5/12

This was a great week. I got a lot accomplished and did some fun things.

On the medical side: I finally talked with Jan the nurse at Dr Hodson's office  late Monday night and she then talked with Dr. Hodson and got the OK for me to be put on the estrogen compound. Called Dr. Kings office and when they called me back they said that Dr. King wouldn't be back in town until Monday so I would have to wait.  Then they called me on Friday Morning and said they had called in the order and I could pick it up at the Ladd Pharmacy on Broadway, (They had to make the compound)  So I picked it up after seeing Dr Maderious.  So all things are being addressed finally.  I am just pray that my H Prylri will stay away.

Monday night was my spring piano recital.  Between my 9 students, they played 20 numbers.  Camden, Taran, Makayle all played duets with their older sister Madyson Durrant plus their own solos . Madyson teaches her younger brothers and I teach them once a month.  I was so impress how much Makayle has grown musically.  I remember when she first came to piano and all she did was cry and now she plays with such grace and expression.
Going Clockwise Makayle, Madysan, me, Camden and Taran.
Julian and Jackson also played duets with their older sister Maddy plus their solos.  Maddy taught Julian 6 months and then I took over.  They are such a talented family and so much fun to teach. Jackson love to play jazzy pieces like rags and boogies.  He did really well on a Scot Joplin's "Solace".  Maddy played the Clementi's " Sonatina in G Major" and did a great job.

The other students that played were Aubry Andrew that started in January.  I am looking forward to teaching her every week now that she is in Young Women's.  She is so talented.  Kassidee Johnson is one of my activity girls and I got to play a duet with her.  I really enjoy her.  Savannah Willits, did a great job.  When I woke up to my alarm, Monday morning "Courage of the Wind" was being played by David Lanz but I enjoyed Savannah's interpretation so much more.  She plays it so expressively with a lot of rubato.  I so enjoy teaching and hearing the fruits of my students hard work at the recitals.

Thursday, Whitney and I hung out.  We first went to Edwards Greenhouse and picked up my Fragrant Plum Rose that Sheran got me for Christmas and some other plants.

Then we came home and made some whole wheat strawberry crepes for lunch and then we went bowling at Big Al's.  Our bowling skills were pretty even.  I got 58 points and Whitney got 54 points.  She actually got a Strike.  I could only get spare's and 3 time I had the impossible splits.  I really had fun and found that for seniors it is only $4 a game and that includes shoes.  It was really fun to just have a day with such a sweet grand daughter.

Friday night, I went out with Diane Salisbury, Rosemary Hill, and Mary Scott to the Music week production of "South Pacific"  We first went out to dinner at a little fish place called "Fresh off the Hook" by Target.  It is a small restaurants which has great seafood dish that is not very expensive.  I had a Cod Sandwich with Coldslaw for $7.99.  It is great and then they serve a little sherbert after your dinner which comes with the price.   The musical was well done.  I think we are so blessed here in Boise that we have a special week just to celebrate music plus a free  Musical to go to every year.  I am very thankful that I live here and have great friends to go out with.

Saturday was a fun filled day also.  It was the first Stake Activity Day for the girls 8-11.  I picked up Hailey and Annie Cahoon and we went to our ward house.  The theme was medical in nature. It was ER- Ever Remember.  There were 6 classes that they went to.  One was teaching what tools Heavenly Father gave them to make right choises. They gave them a pen that looked like a hypodermic needle to help them remember.  One class that really impressed me, was the sister who shared with them her story of the trial.  She is unable to eat, due to stomach problems and carries around on her back liquid food that is pumped into her system 24 hours to keep her alive.  She has 5 different things wrong with her.  All of them are very rare and she is the only one in the world that has all five.  She has four children and her message to the girls was that she didn't have a choice about her illnesses but she does have a choice of her attitude and she choices to the happy on the days she if feeling good.  After hearing her.  I have nothing to complain about.
All the the classes were so well done.  There was a equal amount of teaching and activity.

Hailey with the Journal she made

Hailey enjoyed the last class the most where they had to avoid all the evil balls that were being toss at them

Then right after that we went to her soccer game.  Hailey played really well made several assist in getting a goal.  The score was 6 to 2: their favor.  I am told that if they win next week they win their division.  Hailey is definitely an asset to the team.

I had a lovely Mothers Day. Thursday I got flowers from Tobin and then Friday I got flowers from Joe.  They were both very lovely.  I really appreciated their thoughtfulness.

Sarah sent me a priceless email.  Holly, Ben and Jake and family sent me some scented rice bags which smelled so good and then I got to talk to them on Skype which is always fun. Betty had us over for dinner.  It was great to see Taylor and Denton.  She gave me a gift card for the kindle so I can get more books. Deborah sent me a picture of her in Europe holding a picture of  love note to me.  Trenton gave me a call since he is still recovering from his knee operation. Laura called and said she had a very difficult day and wished me a Happy Mother's Day.  I wish I could reach through the phone lines and give her a hug. I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed me kind, sweet and loving children.  I am a blessed.
