4/15 to 4/21

All week we waited for Spring to come back.  It was so cold through out the week by my Tulips were real  troopers and they are more beautiful as ever.

Wednesday we did the Baptismal Bears at activity days.  The girls really enjoyed the bears and the story.  Then I gave them incidences and had them figure out how they could apply them in their lives.   I was so involved I forgot to take a picture.  They all turned out really cute.  

Thursday I had Nancy and Diane over for lunch because each of them had just gotten a Kindle HD and didn't know how to use them. I fixed Whole Wheat Strawberry Crepes, Nancy brought some muffins and Diane some sausage.  So it worked out very nicely.  Nancy had to hurry back to work and so I went over to Diane's to help her out further. We had a good time just chatting.

Friday, was a rainy day so I was bored and so I got "The Lord is My Shepherd" arranged for a Voice duet, harp and piano.  It didn't turn out too badly and it was quite fun to do.  I am anxious to hear how it all sounds together.

Friday night I took Julia Coulthard, my neighbor girl that just got baptized to the temple to do baptisms for her ancestors.   Monday and Tuesday I researched more of her family and so she had 11 female names to do.  It was suppose to be a stake event for the newly baptized members but Juila was the only one to show up.  However it was perfect. It was so special because the missionaries who taught her had the opportunity to be baptized and confirmed for her male ancestors. That is the gospel in action.

Saturday we went to the dump taking all the clippings and weeds from the yard. Plus the bags of stuff from cleaning up the garage. Then that evening I picked up Jim, my brother, and we went to the Boise Philharmonic to see Carl Topilow who was the guest conductor and clarinetist.( Nancy gave me the tickets because she was going out of town.)   He was so much fun to watch and hear him play.  He played songs from the big band area like, Irving Berlin, Glenn Mill and Tommy Dorsey. Jim was in seventy heaven.

It was so good to get out with Jim and just have some brother and sister time.  We first went to Applebee's and then on to the concert.  So it was a very lovely night.

Friday, Lorraine at Curves gave me this very simple recipe for a little desert and I tried it today and it turned out so nice and it was so easy to make that even Willard is interested in making it.  Lorraine said that it was a weight watcher recipe.  I am going to call it

Cake in a Cup

Cake in a Cup.

1. Mix the powder from one angle food cake mix and another one of any flavor. ( I use the confetti cake mix. She really liked lemon) I mixed them together in a Ziploc bag.
2. Put 3 tablespoon of power in a mug (my cups that came with the dinner ware worked well but the very tick ceramic mug didn't work as well0
3. Add 2 tablespoons of water and stir
4. Microwave for 1 min.
5. Shake the cup to loosen the sides and then dump it out on a plate
6. Top it with your favorite toppings.  I had apple pie filling and whip cream.
  
On the health front, I am going to call Dr. Maderious and see if I can come in an have a blood test done for H Pylori because my heartburn has gotten worse this week.  It started to get worse right after we cleaned the garage that had a lot of mice poop.

Then I am going to call Dr. Ludders office to see if I can get the report of my examination so that I can take it to Dr Dawn King, a female urologist, that works in the same group as Dr. Waldman. Jen highly recommended her.  I still hurt and but I don't know where so I am hope Dr. Ludders  put it in his report because he wasn't able to communicate to me where and what part of me was hurting.  All I know it was on one side of where ever.  I finally did the pee in the bathtub test that he suggested that I do to see if it still hurt when I did pee.  It did so that is why I am going to a urologist. 

Next Thursday is going to be a busy day for operations.  Trenton is going to have an operation on his knee to fix a torn Madiscus and Willard to remove bladder stones and fix some other pumping problems.
