1/7 to 1/13

Life is always a bowl full of Jell-O. It jiggles a lot but doesn't change much.  I saw Dr. Cushman on Wednesday, and he took about 100 cc of fluid from under my arm.  I found out that I can't start radiation until all the fluid stops.  So it is going to be a few weeks, which is discouraging but the good news is that I started to excurse.   I really am getting my energy back which I am most thankful for because I really want to work on my core.

I hear radiation can make you tire after awhile.  So this way,  I can get a little into shape before radiation and then hopefully I don't backslide to much.   I have found that if I do a wide variety of excurse that I will do it more consistently.  I have a choice of  the WII, Chair dancing, working out on the Gazelle,  toning with weights with core excurses.  I found watching Netflix while I am excursing takes my mind off of things.

This week I have been working on an accompaniment to go with Nancy's harp solo "I'm Trying to be like Jesus"  She just likes a little back up when she is playing.  I got the first verse done; only one more verse to go.  I really enjoy getting back into composing.  Not that I am so great at it but I love to find out what I can do. It is the challenge to find the music within me with the Lords help.

While I was looking at Sally Deford sight I listened to her new song "I Know My Father loves Me"  It was so beautiful and I love the words, they are so comforting.

He numbers the stars and He calls them by name
He watches the sparrow, and the next whence it came
He cares for the lilies, so lovely to see
Because He loves them so, I know He loves me

He  watches the lambs in the fold where they  sleep
He cares for the shepherd watching over His sheep
He knows His creations where e'er they may be
Because He loves them so, I know He loves me.

He numbers the stars, and our tears and our smiles
He know every sparrow, and He know every child
And when I see starlight, or birds on the wing
I know my Father loves me, and my heart sings.

Friday night I saw the best show called "The Letter Writer" It is about a rebellious and troubled teenager, who receives an old-fashioned letter in the mail from an unknown source, she can't imagine who could have so many wonderful things to say about her. After all, she is all but invisible to her father and a disappointment to her mom. So she tracks down the mysterious author of the letter and uncovers someone she has never met—but someone who seems to know her better than anyone else in her life. One can watch it for free on Nexflix or online at. http://byutv.org/watch/55a2dddc-858b-4d0d-9ec5-8399fcc5e05d.  It really touched my heart and it really shows the power of words that they can have on others.

Saturday,  Deborah graciously took me shopping for some new cloths.  We really found some cute things and she even bought me a leather skirt. I didn't think I would wear it because it might look to young but on Sunday I threw caution to the wind and wore it, with my boots and it was fun. I really appreciate her taking her time and helping me find  just the right things that made me feel good about my appearance.

Sunday afternoon we had Deborah's family over for dinner and Hailey said she really wants to do piano lessons which makes my heart sing but I won't get my hopes up to high.

The proud family
Hunters program
Sunday night we went to see  Hunters receive his Eagle Scout Award.  He is such a great young man.  I am so proud of him.  I am now a Grandmother of 2 Eagle scouts.  The statistic were stated that only 1 out of 100 scouts become Eagle Scouts.  So this family so far has far exceeded the norm.  I know it will benefit their lives continually.  Brother Movius said that if a young man joins the Marines, if he is an Eagle Scout, he will start out at an E3 pay grade not as an E1 which is a considerable amount of difference.

Our newest Eagle Scout Hunter.
