11/19 to 11/25

This was a week to be thankful for so many things,

I am thankful that I was feeling better and had a little more energy. I was able to get 3 Christmas presents done, our family Christmas card done and I am on my way to finish up another Christmas project.

I am thankful that Jacob came down to visit and made life a little more fun. On Thanksgiving day we went to the new 007 movie "Skyfall"  Willard loves to watch the 007 movies.  Then on Friday, we went to "Red Dawn" with Deborah's family and enjoyed the time with them.

I am thankful for an idea for a great grand finale to the recital on December 3.  I transposed Silent Night into the key of C and then the students will play the bells on the 1st and 4th beat, Maddy Bell will accompany it and Savannah Willit's will direct.  I am excited to hear it all come out.

I am thankful for Black Friday because I got a great deal on some Micheal R Hick's songbooks and saved $15  and got 2 pair of Old Navy Pants which I love.  I finally found pants that fit me and my shape.

Waiting for the prayer
I am thankful that Betty had us over for Thanksgiving.  Trenton's family was still sick so couldn't come over so we went over to Betty's and had dinner with Deborah's and Betty's family and Betty's in-laws.  Andy is really a good cook and every one else brought their favorite.  It all tasted as good as my metal mouth would allow.

The Spread
Communicating?

It was fun to play a game with everyone.  We had a good time.

I am thankful that my first Pumpkin roll turned out.  On Friday I got ambitious and tried to make a pumpkin roll because Jacob loves pumpkin.  It was easier than I thought so I will definitely make another one.  It seems to hit the spot.  So far chocolate is the only things that really is satisfying.  Not good for the waistline.

I am thankful that Deborah helped me out and let me cook the Turkey that I had gotten out to defrost before I knew that his family wouldn't be coming over.  I prepared the turkey and took it over to her house.  Then Willard and Jacob came over to her house during BYU halftime and we had a second Thanksgiving dinner. Buck was happy because now he had some left over turkey and we were happy that we had someone to help us eat the left overs.  It was just right and a wonderful day.

I am thankful that the Lord helped me  came up with a way that I can keep a hot compress hotter for longer period of time.  I am still fighting a stye in my eye and the only way to treat it is with hot compresses. So I
heat up a cloth in the microwave very hot and put it into tin foil.  Then heat up another damp cloth.  Then I hold the tin foil on the back of the other cloth so the heat will not be lost so fast.  Then I will use the cloth inside the pack as the other cloth get cold.

Once again, I am so thankful for all the Lord has given me.  I am so thankful for the season of the year that brings gratitude to the for front and reminds us that it is through His Son that He sent to earth, that we have the great blessing of His atonement in our lives.
