This has been a productive week with a little excitement and good news.
Monday and Tuesday I worked on making hats and booties for babies at the hospital. The booties were easy to make and then I found a simple hat pattern that I would accent with a contrasting color to make the hat match the booties. I like to make matching sets. They were fun to make and didn't take long
I think it was Tuesday night, we got a call from Jane, Sarah's little girl, who told us that Sarah was expecting a baby in June. We were so excited. That will be number 28. We are hoping for a boy, because then we will have 14 of each. We are excited that new one is coming.
Wednesday, Willard's brothers Gene and John came with their wife's Joan and Marsha, just to see us and take us out for dinner. Then night before Marsha had a bloody nose that wouldn't stop bleeding and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. It took them some time to get her nose to stop bleeding. We were so glad to see them. Marsha gave me a wonderful pink fleece blanket that she made. It is so nice to curl up, Pink is a very comforting color. It was wonderful to see them and catchup. I really appreciated Marsha, who is a breast cancer survivor, thoughts and advice.

I spent all day over at my brother Jim's house, making kitchen curtains for them. It was really fun. I haven't sewed for years it seems. They showed me a picture of how they wanted to curtains to look like. I didn't have a pattern but I figured it out. They had bought two pieces of fabric. A piece of fabric that was a plain cream and then other a print with chickens on it. Debbie, his wife, wanted the chickens to boarder the plain cream, I was very pleased how they turned out. They really dressed up the window.

Friday, we went out and worked on the strawberry garden by the Nectarine Tree. The area was filled with thistles and weeds. It surprised me how the thistles just in such a short time had chocked out the strawberries. Actually, this will give us an opportunity to work on the soil and get it fertilized. .

| Eating right off the bushes |
Saturday, night Diane and I went to the Boise Philharmonic performance. Nancy Cotter couldn't use her tickets and offered them to me so I invited Diane. We heard a wonderful young man who was in his teens, play the piano. His technique was flawless. I loved the way he shaped his phrases and the way he colored the music. It was such a treat. We really enjoyed it.

| The girls enjoyed the outdoors. |
On Sunday, Joe came with his family from Denver. It was so good to see all the beautiful girls. There is Saroja who is 13, Arise 5, and Athena and Lilith 3. The twins really keep them on their toes. They really enjoyed eating the raspberries right off the bushes.

Then Trenton's, Deborah and Laura's family came over for brownies and ice cream. It is always fun to get family together. What was fun, was that Jane, called and wanted to talk on Skype, so Aris had fun talking to her and she proceeded to "spill the bean" about the up coming arrival to all cousins. The twins took right to Amber and Trenton. Deborah was fighting kidney stone attacks and Laura her head aching. We were thankful that they made an extra effort to come. We had a good time.
Deborah early this week brought me over a disc with some family picture that were taken at the Old Penitentiary.
