This week has been filled with mostly two things, performing and looking for a Truck. We performed at Meadow Lake on Wednesday night, then Hillcrest Retirement Home and then on Saturday at the Ward house for Family and Friends. Willard again was the Masters of Ceremony. One lady told him he made it so much fun. They really enjoyed the lame jokes. Just right up their alley. Our program was about 45 minuets long.

Our program consisted of,
It's the Most Wonderful time of
the Year with Jim on Clarinet and Nancy on the Keyboard vibraphone and George Thomason (he performed only at Meadow Lake and on Saturday). Then we played a selections from the Nutcracker Suite which inc

luded,
Waltz of the Flowers, a piano solo,
Arabian Dance, with Jim and Nancy at the harp, I played a short part of the
Trepak so that Nancy could get to the piano so that we could played a piano duet of the
Sugar Plum Fairy that I arranged. Jim joined us on the Clarinet. Next, Jim played
Gusu Bambino, which was beautiful. Then we lighted the mood with
Let It Snow, Let it Snow, Let It Snow, with the Clarinet, Vibraphone and piano. Nancy played
O Come O Come Emmanuel on the harp and Jim joined with a bell part. I wrote the accompaniment and bell part. Jim, George and I rocked out playing
Jingle Bell Ro
ck. The audience really loved this one. Next Nancy and I played the piano duet of
Sleigh Ride with Jim, and Willard or Justin with sound effects. ( It has always be

en a desired to play this duet and it is so much fun to play with Nancy).
Silver Bells was our next song. Rosemary Hill volunteered to sing the song with us at Meadow Lake and Saturday Night. It was so much fun. Nancy accompanied, I was on the vibraphone, George on Bass, Jim played a counter melody on the Clarinet, and Justin (Nancy's grandson) played the bells or directed the audience to play them.

We got the audience warm with
Chestnuts Roasting on the Open Fire with Nancy at the harp and the clarinet. Nancy then played
The Coventry Carol on the harp. I'll be home for Christmas was done with the clarinet, bass and bells. Then the grand finale was
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Justin joined the goup with the French Horn. This was the first time I have

tried to arrange a Clarinet and French Horn duet and It turned out beautiful. All in all the program turned out really good. I loved playing for the retirement homes because they appreciate every thing we do and they can't hear all the mistakes or they can't remember them that long.
It was really fun to have Rosemary and George join us. George was Jim theory teacher in college. He had a stroke 2 years ago and moved into Meadow Lake and got baptized. He has fought to regain some use of his right side. We were so pleased that he could at least play his bass. I understand he was quite the guitarist. He really enjoyed playing with us.
We only have two performances this coming week one at Salomon Creek at4.00 and then at Valleyview at 3.30 but George and Rosemary won't be performing with us but Nancey's grand daughter who has a beautiful voice is going to take Rosemary's place.
We talked to President Justice again and he confirmed that we would really be better off with a truck so on Saturday we went looking. We ended up at Hawkes Motors and found a great looking truck. It is a 2002 Ford XLT Triton
with 125,000 miles on it. V8 with overdrive and a towing package
on the back. It has a cover that can lock, an extended cab that will seat 6 comfortable, with a CD player that can hold 6 CD and has hardly has any scratches on it. They are asking $7900. Willard is going to see if he can get us a better deal.
Also President Justice told us that he was looking for two RVs or trailer to house the missionary couple. So we are praying hard that someone will donate some to the church so that we have a place to live.
