July 17, 2011

I thought I had better catch up because I am 2 weeks behind. On July 2, we took the Bolt kids back to Sandy Point and meet Betty's family which included Taylor and Denton. The kids played in the sand, and Garren and Joe made up their
own water toy game. We had a very relaxing afternoon.

July 4th was a working day for us. Willard mowed the lawn and the Maddy and Davis came over to help out. They weeded and help water and weed. They were a great big help. Willard let them try out driving the lawn mower. Davis could hardly reach the pedals but still did a pretty good job of driving it. Maddy was awesome! She is going to be a great driver. Then we got Joe and they cooled off on the slip and slid.

After they all went home and made a pair of baby booties for my Team lead girlfriend. I love the pattern because they look like little tennis shoes. It was a good thing I brought them in the next day, because she went into labor and had her baby on the 6th. So that was really good timing.

Then Tobin and family came in around 10 pm on the 7th from Seattle and slept on the floor before they headed to Salt Lake the next morning. Since they came in so late and I had to go to work I didn't get to see them but then they stopped by on the 10th to visit and we had little birthday party for Tobin. I was so good to see them.

I stayed home on Monday to get things done. I got myself enrolled in a health plan that wasn't to expensive. Also, finished arrangement for Holly Huffaker who was singing "Lead Kindly Light. " today. I got that done and so I felt like I had used my time wisely.

Also Deborah brought Hailey and Cody over while she went visiting teaching. They also had a great time on the Slip and slide. I got a great action shot.

Wednesday our trio practice again. I am really quite excited at sound. It is so fun to play with Nancy and Jim. They are such good musicians. We hope to be able to start performing by September.

Thursday I went to the dentist to get my first set of fillings replaced. I hope it will help save us money in the long run.

Brittney came over to spend some time with us for awhile. We went with Deborah to "Midnight Summers Dream" to see Maddy perform. It was really good. It was held at the Nampa Civic Center outside. It was really fun. I had never seen or read the play so we all really enjoyed it. It was quite something, it was just slightly raining during the first part and then during the intermission it started to really come down but it was finished by the time we came out of the bathroom. Talk about timing. Maddy was really cute. I am so glad she took the opportunity to be in the play.

Brittney and I have had a good time cooking. We make bread, cheese bread and pizza loaf. She learned out to make Coldslaw. Then she got new strings on her guitar Saturday and now I am trying to help her learn how to play the guitar.

I only have 9 more days to work. I am so excited. I worked overtime on Saturday so this week I can't take any greentime but that is ok since Willard is going to have to take another stress nuclear test for his heart. I know things are going to be tight but I still feel good about retiring.
