May 22, 2011

This week has been rather a full week. One Tuesday we went to Adams school and worked the elections with Steve and Inger. It wasn't very busy we only had 80 people vote in a 10 hour period. So it wasn't stressful at all. It was a nice day off.

But during that quiet time I got some time to put some thoughts down that have been running through my mind in a form of poem. This is the first poem I have ever written.

On Wednesday I had my ladies that Brittney and I visit teach over for brunch. Rosemary Hill who is such a good friend, Melba Moore who keeps me in the loop and Emma Goddard who is moving out. I will certainly miss visiting with her. She has been such a delight to teach and so multi-talented. We had a good time. I gave each something special. I had fun making a CD for Brittney. I found that I could put my recorder up to the speakers and record music off of UTUBE and the quality sound wasn't too bad.

Friday, night we went over and picked up Garren and Hunter and went to eat. Then we meet, Deborah who brought Hailey, Cody, Joe, Davis, Maddy and her friend Jaylynn to Bounce. The kids climbed, jumps, jousted, and played until they were all hot and tired. I think they slept well that night.

On Saturday, we went to Hailey dance recital. She did a great job. I love the dance recitals because to love to watch how the dance matches the movement of the music. Then Jim, my brother came over and we played the together. It was so special to be able to accompany him. His health is doing so much better and he has started playing his clarinet. He plays it so beautifully. It brought tears to my eyes and I felt so blessed to have such a great brother with whom I can share my love of music. We hope to be able to play for some rest homes, when I get things learned.

Then tonight I had my piano recital at Welches new piano recital hall. Since no one has to be there, the Stake President said it was OK to have a recital on Sunday. I went together with my friend Nancy Cotter so that her grandson, who she teaches, would have a recital experience. It all went so well. All the children did a beautiful job. Everyone loved the recital hall. All in all it was a big success!
