This Monday I went with Rosemary Hill out to eat at a really fine fish place. It wasn't very much and we shared a hot fish salad. It was really good. I want to go back there and try the crab sandwich. I am really beginning to like fish. Then we went to see "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Morrison Center. I really enjoyed it. She had great tickets sitting in Row E.
Tuesday I stayed home because I got home so late. I knew I wouldn't be able to function. So I got a lot of things accomplished. Got Whitney's birthday present done and some more crocheting on the baby blanket. Worked on family history, cleaning up the files and practiced on all the duets I am doing.
Wednesday Brittney and I went visiting teaching. We had a great time and Rosemary showed me some great exercises for my back and shoulders. Now I just have to get motivated to do them.
Thursday I had to do two hours of overtime that was mandatory. I am glad everyone had to do it because it was slow and so I didn't have to take as many calls. That day it seemed like all I did was work.
Friday Willard and I went to Marcella Gillenwater, a girl in our ward, art show. It was a pre show to the one that she is going to have in New York. I loved her paints and sketches. They were really fun to view.
Saturday, I worked out in the garden. It felt so good to get out there and dig in the dirt. I am going to redo the strawberries because there are a lot of old one and I need to add to the soil and make it more nutritious so my yield can be bigger. It sort of is like life, you have to repent and sometime start over and feed your soul and strengthen your soul before you can reap the harvest.
I also so the first signs of spring because my Tulip bulbs are coming up. I am so excited.
Later on that afternoon, I transposed a piano duet, "Praise to the Man" down so that Nancy and I can play it for the Primary Program. Then today I fancied up "Stand for the Right," another song that the accompaniment it boring. Then the Mechum came over because I am going to play for them and I am going to have to do something with "We'll Bring the World His Truth". I can't help it. I can hear more and my fingers just add more harmony. So that is my next project for the night.
I am so thankful to the Lord who lightens my burdens with ideas that are creative and fun to do. I don't know how good they are but that doesn't matter because I am developing my talent and being creative. As someone once said that if you don't use or improve on your talents that the Lord will take them away. I think that will be the funniest part to being in the Celestial Kingdom and you will constantly be learning, creating and serving. What a glorious way to spend eternity. I just hope that I will qualify!
