January 30, 2011

It is late in the evening and I finally get to sit down and write about last week.

Work didn't go well, my save rate was really down the first three days and was better the last couple of days. Other things like loyalty was also down. Just not one of my better work weeks. Thank goodness I have other things going on in my life that I enjoy.

I didn't excises all week because my back and hip hurt from it all. Then I discovered that it really feels better when I stretch out my back and work on my core muscles.

I got Taylor's afghan done and one of my other projects that I can't reveal right now. I finished two more stories. And was I am most excited about is the CD's that Jerry sent to me. One has his interview with my dad and the other has his interview with Grandma Holsinger and Amy Holsinger who was Grandpa Franklin Holsinger sister. I began listening to Grandma and her voice brought back such happy memories of her.

Jerry wrote to me today saying that he found an old manuscript that Grandma wrote of her memories but it is so old and yellowed that he doesn't know how best to share it. Adam has agreed to transcribe Grandma Holsinger interview. It just amazes me how the Lord opens the door when you knock. I just can't believe all the information that Jerry has and it is great working together to get it . I called my cousin Kern Holsinger tonight to tell him about the CD. He told me of a old picture that he had of the young Holsinger boys on the Nampa farm. I am so looking forward to seeing it. It was so good to talk to him. He is so positive and upbeat. He has a great attitude for life.

Deborah is sick with a sinus infection and so I made cream puffs and took them over to her. They all love them. Brother Richardson in the ward got them a room at a hotel and ice hockey tickets for this weekend just to give them a break. People have been so sweet and loving to them.

I certainly love the Lord and how He blesses my life. Work may not go well but He has given my so many other wonderful things to fill my life with. Life is good.
