October 10, 2010

This week has been an eventful one. On Monday we got our Hd tv and got it set up. Dad really loved the picture but was disappointed that it wasn’t HD. I did have a problem with the DVR freezing up so I called in and told them that the DVR was having a problem in hopes that the replacement was going to be an HD-DVR because of the area that we are in. Well the agent told me that it didn’t order it as HD-DVR so I cancelled it and then was surprised that it came in the mail and it was and HR22! Dad was so excited and I even got it to work. It is beautiful to watch.

Then Tuesday afternoon we heard that Catrina and the babies weren’t doing as well. Catrina had Preeclampsia and Lilith hadn’t grown as much as she should have. So they gave Catrina some steroids to help Lilith breath when she was delivered. The babies were pulled out about 9 AM and each is doing well. Athena was 4 lb 12oz, 14” long and Lilith was 2 lbs 8oz and 10 “ long. Here are some pictures and I love this picture of Catrina with Athena.

Then on Saturday we flew to Denver to help Sarah with Alice. It was a good flight and we are looking forward to the week. Sarah and Andrew are such good parents. I was impressed with how they are teaching their children. It was funny yesterday when it came to eating a donut and the donut was a little big for Jane to handle. Willard suggested that she break up donut in half. She said she didn’t want to do that because she would have to give the other half to Reynolds. That was a given in her mind because she has been taught to share. Another time when they had to share the Itouch, neither of them fussed at having to share because they had been taught the value of sharing. Another thing that I was impressed with is that Jane has been taught to express her gratitude. I brought the hats that I had made and she thanked me then but then out of the blue she told me again how much she loved her hats and expressed her appreciation. We heard it again in her blessin

g on the food. As a grandmother, it really warms my heart when my grandchildren express gratitude for those things we do for them. Here is a cute picture of Alice. She does like to eat sleep and poop as all babies due.

I didn't get to go to church because Reynolds woke up with diarrhea and Sarah needed to get some sleep. So I fixed dinner for the family and Sarah's in laws that had a daughter in the hospital. It was good to get to talk with out so much going on. I hear the kids have big plans for us next week. I hope to run off some pounds.
