August 8, 2010

This has been a catching up and getting thing done week. It was great to have Jacob here visiting. He got my printer networked so now I print from it, which makes me very happy. Now I have just got to get him to put in a new fan in my laptop because I have to sit in front of a fan to it won't shut off. I got him long hair cut but I forgot to take a picture of his fabulous hair cut that he got for free. I thought it looked better than some of the haircuts he has to pay for.
I got the second blanket done for the twins not I just have to work on the blessing dresses. I got a doll that is about the size of a newborn but then I discovered that the head was 15" around so I will have to make bonnets just a little bit smaller.

At work I didn't meet last month due to a poor QA score. So I got this month to put it up. I just am taking it slow and trying to hit all the points. Now we have to remember to offer the NFL on every appropriate call. I have NFL season!

I have been working on the book for the Blessinger's for their family reunion. It is has been very interesting. I am doing a little more research and I found that we share a common ancestor with the prophet Joseph Smith they are John Frost and Mercy Payne. I thought that was neat. Then in doing a little more research I found that Debbie Harrison from whom I got the ged com made some errors and I have to fix them.

Our garden has been fruitful. On Saturday Willard and I did a batch of blackberry, raspberry and frozen Strawberry jam. When we pick the fruit I just puree it and put it into bags and freeze it and then make jam latter. It works out pretty well. I needs to make a lot more. The Blackberries are on and we still get a large bowel of strawberries. With two picking we have enough for a batch of jam.

Then of course the peas and the beans are on. I had made a great garden chicken stew it had every thing from our garden peas, bean, carrots and potatoes and enjoyed it with some banana zucchini bread. The corn should be coming on soon and hopeful the tomatoes will turn red. I have tons of great tomatoes. I do love my flower garden that we put in. It is so nice to look out my back yard and see the flowers. Aren't they beautiful?
