August 22, 2010

What a full week it has been. Monday night Trenton called and said there had been some very upsetting events going on in his home and the boys were misbehaving badly. So we encouraged them to call the police and to our surprise they did. The police went and got Moroni and embarrassed him completely and Nephi found out that his parents have a right to discipline him. Now the boys know that their parents will call the cops on them. Now they do have a like a bit of fear put into them.

Then on Tuesday, we went to Caldwell to take the boys to their various schools. I went in with Moroni to get his schedule changed so that he could take seminary. He wasn't happy about it but I told the counselor that not taking it wasn't an option for him and that he can take summer school. Since he is an "at risk" kid he gets to go free.

While we were waiting to talk to a counselor, Willard took Nephi and Martha over to the Jr. High so that he would registered and get some used uniforms. We told Nephi that he would have to work off the price of the uniforms through his school. He told the principle that he was protesting about working it off. He somehow is getting out of it.

I have been calling each night to see if the boys have done their jobs and have been respectful to their parents. If they were they would earn a point each day and also would get 5 points if they went to church. With their points they might earn the right to get some socks of pay for a violin rental. In other words, they have to earn their school needs. I hope this will help. So far Moroni has helped more around the house and even did the dishes. Nephi has been hot and cold but I am not going to give up.

On Saturday I almost missed the whole reunion. I thought the reunion was at 5:00 so I had my whole day planned out to the tee. We went to the temple, came home and made a Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp, made 2 batches of Blackberry jam and then worked on a new bonnets for the twins. Then at 4o'clock I thought I had better google to see where this park was. I couldn't find it on the map so I called Tom Blessinger and he said that most people had gone home that it started at 12' o'clock. I was so upset. He said that he would wait for me to get there. So we jumped in the car and got up there about 5.

Well there were still some people there and I met Tom some other relatives. Found out that there were to that were LDS. Kathy Heney from Fruitland was really into genealogy and even had a picture of John McClellen! She has so much more information. She was so excited to meet some one that loved family history as much as she did. Then there Marti Crain from Nevada that was also a member. They were both excited to find out Joseph Smith. I am looking forward to working with Kathy on our family history. They were a great bunch of people. But I think it was good in the long run that I came very late because I had more of an opportunity to have time for a little bit more intimate conversations with those that were still there.

Sunday we had Hailey over for dinner. I just love she! She is such a little girl. She helped set the table, eat everything, (especially the corn on the cob), helped clean up and then played dolls. I love to play dolls. Then she and her dolls and grandpa played Sorry! What a delightful child and so much fun to have come over.

I still didn't get a scored on a QA. But due to a new program DTV has come up with, I ended up the week over all, 2nd on my team and my ranking over all is 57th out of over 500 employees.
