This week went by quickly. It started out that we had Inger and Steve Bishop over for a BBQ. It was good to talk to old friends about all the people we have known and catch up. Then Steve wanted to know about the ITouch and if I liked it, which is something I like to talk about. The new thing that I just discovered was the podcast that I can download from the Church web sight. It has beautiful music, stories and scripture stories for the children. It is great. You don't have to have a ITouch to enjoy, just a computer.
Then Tuesday night I got a call from Tom Blessinger, we share a great, great, great, grandfather. He invited me to their family reunion on August 20. I am excited to go. I have imputed a lot of their genealogy on my laptop I have talked with him and his cousin
On Wednesday we found out that the twins are going to be girls. How exciting! I am going to try to crochet some dresses depending on my hands but they are doing pretty good. I have one blanket done and half way done on the other. That evening I even made raspberry jam. I have enough right now to make two more batches. Also, need to work on some strawberry jam. Problem is that I keep eating the strawberries.
I talked with my brother Jim this week and he told me that he has a very rare skin disorder call Pityiasi
s rubra pilaris, it is incurable and he is miserable. It is so rare that they are having a seminar for the dermatologists and Jim is the exhibit because most have never seen this skin disorder. He wrote to me saying" Seem to be doing worst every day. The disease is all over my body. Even inside my ears. My eyes are getting worst so it seems. Always tearing and my vision is decreasing. " Since this Sunday is Fast Sunday, I thought I would suggest to the family that we fast for Jim this week. It seems like he just can't catch a break.
Friday night Tobin came over for dinner and we had a good time visiting and then we went to our former Bishops Smith's daughter Brittney's reception. I had taught her piano years earlier. Her mother doesn't have long to live due to
eception with flying colors. It was held at the Spurwing Country Club. What a beautiful place to have it and it was very well attended.
Saturday, we went and helped clean the church. We polished all the wood in the building and cleaned the bathrooms. It was our turn to help with the cleaning and it was fun to work with fellow ward members. Then we went to Kohles and got Willard a swimming suit so he doesn't have an excuse not to go swimming this week at the family reunion.
I won a $50 gift card at Target so I bought a little portable speaker system so that we can listen to the Itouch together and also at the family reunion have the song "No Empty Chairs" there with the accompaniment. I am looking forward to this week. I only have to work 2 days! But the bad news is that I still have 2 calls to be scored. UGH!
Then this Sunday, Cody came over for dinner and mainly to play with the ITouch. We ate outside and he was quite the little gentleman. He entertained himself and then we made air popcorn. Which was a new experience for him. He is fun to have over and not much work. I do have great grandchildren that is because I have great kids.
For how much you talked about your I touch Dad should be worried you might have a new love.
