This has been a good week because Jacob got a car, got insurance and passed of his test. I am so proud of him. He first took the reading and math test. He pasted the reading test but not the math test. He studied it a bit more and retook it on Thursday and he passed. So now he doesn't have to take the remedial courses which will cut down of the classes he has to take. Now he just has to get the emergency brake tighten down and then the car will pass inspection. We certainly appreciate all that Ben and Holly have done to help him out.

On Thursday I went over to Laura's house to get Maddy and Jaylynn ready for their choir concert. Laura and Dad were down at ABU's because they were getting in a new set of cards and of course they had a long night ahead of them. So I curled Maddy's hair, and got the kids ready to go. The choir is composted of 4th, 5th and 6th graders. They really did a great job. I was very impressed with the vocal quality and the selection of songs. It was well worth my time.

On Friday night we had Hailey over to spend the night. Since it was going to be her birthday on Sunday, we went out to Burger King for Chicken Nuggets. Then we went over to the temple and walked around and she got to hug one of the pillars of the temple that Willard helped built. It was interesting that she was quite taken with the fact that he had to put on gloves when he uncrated the Angel Moroni. Then we went to Desert Book Store and told her she could pick a picture of Christ. She didn't want any big picture, she chose little pictures of Christ. She then sat down to read a book. Now she wouldn't allow me to help her or even read it to her. She just made up the story from what she saw. She had a hard time choosing a book but I asked her which one made her feel more closer to Christ and she picked " If I Could Stand Be Side Him. " Then we went to get some yogurt. When we got home we made a picture book for her to remember all of her experiences.

After, she went home, I went to the temple. How thankful that I so near a Temple. There are so many that have to travel so far to attend the temple and the make great sacrifices to go. All I am asked to make a small sacrifice of time.

Afterward, I stopped at the store to get some plants, soil conditioner, bark and fertilizer. Willard and I proceeded to work on the strawberries. Sill have just a couple of more places to go. I planted 2 rows of red potatoes. I know Deborah will be happy about that. We will have corn and potatoes. Her favorite.

By the way, for mothers day all I needed is some weeding done. Please don't get me anything but if you have time come over to help us that would be much appreciated.
