April 11, 2009

Sunday night we got a call from Joe telling us that he got 936 out of 1000 on his CCNA test ( A test about IT stuff that now qualifies him to make $75,000 a year) . He had to pay $250 to take the test and he said that most people don't past it on their first try. In fact, he said that he didn't even look at his score when he got done because he didn't think he passed it. I was so excited for him. I just wish he and the family could just get over to this side of the world so that I can see my grandchildren more. I was so happy to hear that Catrina is expecting again. Sarah and Catrina's babies will be born just a few month apart. There will be some great family reunions if we can get the family together.

Well mostly this week I have been consumed with working on our garden. I saw that it was going to be warmer on Saturday and it wasn't going to be raining so we needed to get the garden ready to plow. Also, I was expecting the Nectarine tree, and Ever bearing Raspberry plants that I ordered sometime this week. So I knew I needed to work on the east fence board, and get that all prepared for the berries. Then there was the Strawberries that needed to be moved and replanted before they get to develop. Some are the plants are already flowering. So after lessons on Monday, I started working on the Strawberries: weeding and moving some of them. Tuesday was rainy so I didn't go out to work. Then on Wednesday I again tried to get more of the daisies out from the front and move them to the back by the fence. ( My gardening is my exercising because I work about 2 hr a night.)

Thursday I went to the Temple, and I felt that I should call up Laura's kids to come over on Friday to help us out. Also, I decided to make a flower garden on the West side of the fence. I love flowers and they make me feel so good. I hope to have that side of the fence done by the weed after Memorial Day when I go rescue flowers. I am looking forward to looking out my kitchen window and see flowers.

On Friday afternoon Maddy and her friend Jaylynn, Davis and Joe came over and helped us. We did get a lot accomplished and they were a big help. The nectarine tree had come and the raspberries so it was perfect timing. The girls added soil conditioner, fertilizer to the berries that were already planted. All four helped with the east fence and the boys love digging and working in the soil conditioner in the strawberries until that got ant in their pants Then they stayed for pizza when Chuck and Laura went out for their Anniversary Dinner.

Then on Saturday, Willard and I went out for Breakfast, and then went shopping at Lowe's and got some more landscape boards for the East fence , peat moss, a blueberry plant and a Lilac bush. I love Lilac! When we got home we waited to work until it got warmer. Then Willard worked on clearing the garden spot because Danny our neighbor who we are borrowing his tiller, didn't get it running but that was ok because we still had a lot to do. We finally got the tree and the berries planted but have so much more to do. I just hope my hands and body will make it through.
