March 28

March 28.

Monday was a great day. Gene, Joan, Marsha and John came over for brunch and we had a great time visiting. Then we went to ABU games and Willard took them on a tour. They stopped and talked to the fellow who was doing the orders and asked tons of questions that I had never thought of. I learned so much because of their questions.

Then John asked to go see the Blue turf at Boise State. That was on the top of his list of things he wanted to see in Boise. So we got in at the track side and the men had to go and touch the turf. They were quite surprised at how soft it was. Gene and John had to take pictures. I am sure that was the high light of their trip ( of thinks to see). Then we went to the state capital. I hadn't been there since the kids were small. Boy, has it changed. We parked on the 8th street side and went in underground tunnel. The committee's were working and we went by rooms that were holding hearings. In the basement they had interesting things to read about but then going up the halls were bare. I remembered having a lot of things to look at in the Capital Building. They still had the statue of George Washington on the horse and the statue of the headless winged person. But it was beautifully restored.

Then Marsh and I we walked down the stairs and Willard and John took the elevator. When we got to the bottom of the stairs we just sat down waiting for them to show up. After about 15 min. and trying to figure out where the guys went, we figured out we still needed to go down one last flight. After falling off the last step, and hurting my knee, we finally found the guys just waiting there wondering where we had been.

We parted ways so we could all take a nap and then went to the Golden Coral to eat. It was great. There was 33 people there. Trenton and family, Betty's family minus Taylor, Deborah's family, Laura's family, Jessica's( Brain's daughter) family and Shawn Klucken's family. We all had such a good time visiting. It was wonderful! We had more quite a little reunion. (To view more pictures go facebook and view the album.)

Tuesday, someone forgot to open the building so belly dance got canceled after we stood out in the cold for half an hours. Wednesday I had to makeup the piano lessons I missed on Monday. Thursday, I took of a meal for Renee Gonzales, who had just had knee surgery and then go to get our recommend signed by the State President.

Friday was Willard's birthday and I was going to get him a massage by Sabrina Green but I never could get a hold of her. She must have been out of town. So Thursday night I was really sweating because I didn't have a plan B. But finally in the morning I got the inspiration that I would try to find the song " The theme from the Summer Place" Dads favorite song. I called Deborah to see if she could help me and she told me that Brittney really knows how to find songs on Livewire. So I went over after work and we downloaded 3 CD's with songs of the 60's. We both really enjoyed listening to them that evening. I fixed a special steak dinner and spent time together that evening.

Saturday, Trenton and the kids came over. Willard took the Trenton and the kids shopping for shoes while I taught Moroni a piano lessons. After lunch the kids helped us get the corner all prepared for the Nocturne tree that will be coming soon. We were grateful for their help. Then I works a few more hours on the strawberry beds.
