6/7 to 6/19

This week has been ended up being a relaxing week.  The first part of the week we were preparing the yard to go to Tobin's on Wednesday.  Weeding, watering and washing were the main order of the first of the week.  Then when we talked to Tobin we found out that he and Bryce were going to be in Juneau, Alaska on Thursday and Friday.  Bryce was going Salmon Fishing while Tobin was at the clinic so we decided to go on Friday.  Bryce had a great time and caught 3 Salmon.  He said the best part of it was pounding on them their heads to kill them

Which turned out to be a wise decision because Gene and Joan stopped in an visited with us on Wednesday.  We had a good time eating at Soup n' Salad and visiting.
Joan and Gene Hill
We were so grateful that we got to see them before they went on their mission.  It sounds like it is going to be really challenging because nobody seems to know what they are exacting going to do.

While Hailey was at her lesson on Thursday, Deborah decided to go to Yellowstone with the family because Buck had to go over there for his job.  She said they had a good time.  I thought this was such a cute picture. Hailey is such a model.
Friday we left and only had to stop 3 times.  It only took us about 7 1/2 hours.  Our car rides like a dream.  Saturday was the big graduation day.  It was held outside at one of the high school stadiums.  I understand that most years it rains but this year it was a beautiful morning. Zane graduated Cum Laude which is the white cord and then was given an Orange Cord for Distinguished Portfolio.
The graduate
It was one of the best graduations I have been to.  I liked that it was outside. They had just a few well done musical numbers and 3 good speeches that were short and entertaining by students.  And the best part of it was the fellow that announced the names for Zane's side did with a lot of expression and enthusiasm which made it so much more enjoyable to listen to.
This is half of the class of 350.

The Happy Graduate and family.
We are so proud of Zane.  He has worked hard through out his school years and is excited to be going on a mission.  I though it was interesting that the Principle mentioned how many students were going on to different schools and then she announced that were going on church missions.  A first for a graduation.  We do live in exciting times.

After words we all went to Red Robin's and Sheran met us there.  Then we hung out with Sheran and Dad bought some new white tennis shoes.  By the time we got home everyone was pretty much exhausted.

Zane stayed out all night and went to the all night party and got home about 6 AM.  He didn't go to sleep because he had to give a talk in Sacrament Meeting.  He did a good job for some one who hadn't slept in 24 hours.

Linda fixed Flat Iron steak and Bryce's Salmon for dinner.  It was delicious. Sheran fixed a lemon butter to put on the Salmon after it was cooked and it was so good.  Willard got a Amazon Gift card, a pocket hose and some priceless handmade cards.  Linda bought for Tobin a memory cooling pillow.  He was thrilled with it.

All in all it was a very nice Sunday.
