1/21 to 1/27

I have had a ruff week this week.

Monday I got my tube put back in on my left hand side because of the amount of fluid that was collecting.  All week it has really been pouring out if I was active, so today I decided to take it easy and it has slowed a bit like I did on Thursday when I didn't feel well.  I hope it will slow down during the day. Nighttime it is always under 15 cc (which it is suppose to be) but during the day it goes from 60cc to 30cc.  When the Andrews came over, I had Willard and Gary give me a priesthood blessing, so I hope that will help.

This week I also got another Urinary Track Infection.  I don't know why I get them after surgery, but I guess I need to drink a lot more water.

I finally called Dr. Hodson's office on Wednesday to see what else I could take to help with my heartburn.  It was just getting intolerable.  It was more intense and  Pepcid just wasn't helping at all and I had it every waking hour.  I felt like I had morning sickness all day and I never had it when I was pregnant.  Now I know how my girls felt. It is miserable.  Thank goodness I was told that I could stop taking my estrogen therapy pill and I am starting to feel human again.  I see Dr Hodson, my oncologist on Tuesday, so I hope she will have a solution to my problem.

The one fun thing that I did was to go with Dianna shopping at Penny's at their clearance sale.  I got 7 tops for $47, which I was proud of. But I paid for it because my output was 60cc that day.  I don't know why Dr. Cushman told me that it was OK to exercise because it just makes more fluid.  I wish I understood the mechanics of my body better and how to promote healing.

I also got wonderful news from Tobin that Bryce, received 1st Place for his original piano piece in Auburn School District's PTA contest and he is going to State with it.  Also, he played another one of his compositions for his recital called the Amazing Chase.   They were both quite good.  I am looking forward to helping Bryce notate them because I think some of my students would enjoy playing them. They had form, beauty and excitement in them.   Bryce has a real gift of confidence.  He isn't afraid to try things. He isn't concerned with whether he will be the best only that he does the best he can and find joy in the accomplishment.  I am very proud of him

Saturday, I went to Nancy Cotter's harp recital.  It was really a treat to hear the harp played so beautifully.  I can now see why the harps is always mentioned as an instrument played in heaven.  Nancy did a wonderful job and the harp quartet was great. She has asked me to play with her for the March Something Special Luncheon.  This morning I had a great idea to use my duet books for us.  So we will see how that turns out.

That night we went to Jen Kaylor's 30+ (40th) birthday party.  She had a great turn out and some great food.

Another piece of good news was that Nephi is getting his 1st Class award. He finally passed his swimming merit badge! Congratulations Nephi!
