Cody walking in the school parade |
Wednesday we went to the kids Halloween Parade at Spaulding Grade School. This year they held it outside and the kids walked around. It was different but very enjoyable because one could see the costumes much better Then the kid danced a Halloween Dance. Hailey really showed her dancing skill. She did great.

Saturday I went to Charline's baby shower. Charline is my sister-in-laws daughter. She still doesn't know what she is having because the baby has not co-operated. So I made a Blue and Orange, booties, hat and bib.

The rest of the week was just laying around. I have been really tired. I am really looking forward to not having the metal taste in my mouth. It really takes away the enjoyment of food. Last night we went to the Black Bear Dinner and I had BBQ Rib with baked potato. The BBQ was tasteless and the butter tasted like oil with a little butter flavor. Only thing that tasted good was the corn muffin. Willard said his fish and chip were good so I think it was my tasted buds. I know even Golden Coral turkey tasted flat. The only thing that tasted good is chocolate chip cookies as long as I only eat one once in a while. I did make a great meatball soup that turned out really well. One thing to be thankful for is that I don't have a great desire to over eat. Another thing is the chemo has gotten rid of my psoriasis is gone!
While I have been sort of laying low. I have been reading the book I think Betty gave me last Christmas, "The Light of Hope" by Vaughn J. Featherstone. It has wonderful Christmas stories and poems in it. I have really enjoyed all the thoughts and poems he has shared. It has giving me a great desire to give something that it meaningful and exemplifies the spirit of Christ.
