This has been a quite week but I have been busy preparing different for different things coming up. Monday since no piano students showed up, I took the opportunity to rearrange the third verse of an arrangement of "We'll bring the World His Truth than we are playing for the primary program. I have also been busy practicing my piano recital because I am playing duets with Ashton Durant and Nancy Cotter. Then there is all the special arrangements for the Primary program we are doing.
Then on Wednesday, I went to Edwards to get 4 dozen tribute strawberry plants, some onions and seed potatoes. Thursday after the missionaries who came to dinner left, I went out and started planting strawberries. Friday I finished and Saturday we worked on the yard more after the rain. We have so much to do in the yard. Thank goodness Willard is retiring!
In the meanwhile on Saturday and Sunday, we listened to Conference which we really enjoyed. It amazes me that no one has topics assigned but they speak with such inspiration about so many things that we need. I noticed on recurring theme mentioned by a couple of speaker was that the young men after their missions needed to be looking for a good woman. I know Jacob would love to do more looking after he lands a job. It just has to be done one step at a time. I am looking forward to receiving the next Ensign or the updates on my Itouch.
John called us and told us about Marsha and finding a lump and the biopsy wasn't good. John wrote today " Marsha has decided, after much consternation, that she will undergo instead a mastectomy, followed by "chemo", but no radiation. The surgery will take place on Tuesday. The good news is that, despite the rapid growth of the tumor, she detected it early. There is no evidence that cancer cells have entered into the lymphatic system." Our prayers are with her.
On a lighter note, I caught a picture of Minnie enjoying my apple. She is a very strange cat. If either of us starts eating an apple she is right there in your face begging for the apple. Then when I hold if for her she will lick and bit it. She loves Apples! What a strange cat.
