February 28th

This week has been particularly stressful due to work and their unreasonable expectations but at the end of the month my team leader said they were going to do some further evaluations on their expectation since 90% of the call center didn't meet their expectations. I just do the best I can and pray a lot. I take much comfort in the promise that the Lord made that if we attend the temple the blessing there will not be limited to our temple service. We will be blessed in all of our affairs. We will be eligible to have the Lord take and interest in our affairs both spiritual and temporal. I do love to go to the temple and find much comfort there. I know if I do my part the Lord is bound to do His part and all will be according to His will.

On a better note I accomplished my goal of giving my Blackberry bushes a haircut and cleaned out that garden spot. I am going to start my broccoli sooner. This week I will begin on the project of replacing and refining the area in the vineyard. I am going to move the peas over to that area. I have big plans for my garden this year and have hired Brittney and Bolt kids to help with weeding. I am excited about the coming year.

I got a package from a Frederick Blickerstaff. He was a customer that called in that I helped, I can't remember what he called about, but of course I couldn't let a family history moment go by and we began to talk about the family. He said he had two books on the Blickensdoerfer family and that he would get them copied off and send them to me. I had completely forgotten all about it and then I got these two books. His line is from Joseph and ours is from Ulrich, but the one book had much more history and information about Ulrich than I have had before. So I was excited about that. That is one of my goals this year to redo the Holsinger stories like I have done with the Hill, and Crittenden. I put them in a Microsoft work format so that others can add to them as them find more information about them. I did find a picture of Alexander Mack on the internet and his signature. It is amazing what I can find on the internet family history wise.

So all in all this week has had it's up's and downs. Just the normal flow of life.

  1. Great looking blog, Linda. You're too young to be "Mother Hill"! How about "Hot Mama Hill" to go with the Cool pix and the man in red?
